Uhm, I'm really bad at dealing with writer's block. I usually take a break and do something else. That, or wait for a flash of inspiration (never happens).
Personally, I switch over to writing something else until I've let the first thing cool for a while, and then come back and tackle it.
But I'm just one girl. How do you guys do it? Please tell me.
I personally listen to talk radio and watch documentaries about organized crime and the Presidency of the United States.
Some people say I'm kind of weird. I never figured out why.
What I always do is listen to the same type (speed genre whatever) of music when I write so once I get writer's block I just switch the music and I can write again. I guess that means I spend my time trying to force my way through...
I get writer's block when I've done something wrong, and the story's gone off in the wrong direction. Once I figure out what the problem is and fix it, I can go on.
I also get stuck over tricky bits that require a lot of thought and planning, but it's not quite the same thing. It's just a question of putting in the effort (and sometimes not wanting to), not having no idea what to do at all.

Usually after about three weeks or so on the same thing I get bored with it... one week's break later I'm usually raring to go again, while during that time my subconscious has been mulling over the problem and getting new ideas.
I sometimes get an idea as soon as I kill the Word Document. It's annoying, but it happens. Other times, I pray about it, or simply brainstorm. And a few other things I don't remember.
I'm going through WB right now, actually. There are parts of a story I forgot to outline, and now it's going along really slowly.

I get all my best ideas when I'm supposed to be doing something else. Like in a class or at work. It's not the most convenient time for me to be struck by inspiration...
Depending on what I am writing. If it a research paper or similar I usually take a walk for a while, clear my head, collect my thoughts. Fiction on the other hand, usually what I do, is take a break, and then come back somewhere around midnight or later. The later it is for me, the more my subconscious can take over. This gives more flow with my writing. Easier to put pen to paper.
2 O'clock in the morning definitely seems to be when I get all my most entertaining ideas. The only issue is going in the next morning and getting rid of the entertaining, but poorly written ideas.
But revising is easier than creating from nothing.
