In terms of transparent excuses, that's the senior citizen equivalent of "It's not like I like you or anything..."
Senator Pat Roberts' ringtone is "Let It Go". I think I'm impressed.
Yeah, and all things considered, he handled the situation rather well, turning a potentially very embarrassing moment into an opportunity to say a few more words.
You know, like a boss.
In terms of transparent excuses, that's the senior citizen equivalent of "It's not like I like you or anything..."
That might actually a be a decent way to know who is calling. Often times people use different ring tones depending on whose calling. Using something like Let it Go would be an easy way to tell that it is the grandchildren calling. Or alternatively, he could actually like the song, nothing wrong with that, of all the things a Congressman could caught with that is by far one of the most tame.
Kind of like saying water is wet. I find it more interesting the phone was not at least silenced. Oh well, it could have been worse.
Well more than I already am, but that is a discussion for a different time, place, and audience.
