Parody sues: good or bad? by

I remember reading a few fanfics a while ago. Both of them were supposedly parody-suefics, but one of them seemed to just be a normal suefic. The other was pretty funny, but I'm still wondering if anyone has sporked a parody-suefic yet. I'd love to read it if the original fic was any good. Also, what is your opinion of parody sues? I've found that the suethor just says "0h noez, it was jsut a pardy all alog!" after everyone says it was a terrible read, so I don't expect much from parody sues.

Then there is always "A Trekkie's Tale". Other then that and "Ensign Sue Must Die", can't really think of any good ones.

In addition, there is such a thing as a well-written Parody Sue. Ensign Sue Must Die is a great example.

I never knew it finished. I just got finished reading that comic. That was a good run. I like how they characterized our little Sue. Her transformation from Sue to OC was smooth and believable. Overall, a very well written comic, for a silly parody on Mary Sues.
Is Ensign Sue Must Die in the list of Legendary Goodfics? If not... Well, I know it's more of a fan comic then fan fic, but I think an exception could be made in this case. Besides, the only difference is that comics tend to have more pictures. Anybody else agree?
Oh, and if anybody does not know what we are talking about, here is the first page. -
So it seems we're all agreed. by

Can someone who doesn't use a Kindle add ESMD to the Legendary Goodfic page?

I haven't read Crisis of Infinite Sues yet, and my Kindle really doesn't like the Interrobang Studios website. Thus, I am sadly unable to finish the comic at this time.

... but does Ensign Sue meet the criteria for 'legendary'? I remember it was brought up when I nominated Roommates and Girls Next Door, but it was never really resolved and I forgot to pick the subject up again, because I forget things like that.

I nth the nomination for Legendary Goodfic. One of the best parody webcomics out there. :)

Ensign Sue is just that awesome, and so very relevant to our interests.
I actually met the artist once, and I have a physical copy of the first series. ^_^

Well,a fan comic is still fan-made fiction, the only difference would be that the story is told with images and dialogue, instead of just text.* And Ensign Sue is just awesome enough to deserve it.
*(In fact, my badfic that I shared with the Board in the Boarder's badfics, thread was a fan comic for a fan continuum.) -

I adored the Sue oh so much. Even when she was full Sue. "And then the worms died!" I still laugh whenever I see that. I want that on a shirt, and I don't wear t-shirts!
You should check more of their work. They're usually pretty funny, though Ensign Sue Must Die is, in my opinion, the best of them. I like "It Sucks to be Weegie," their Mario parody. -

Khan prime showing up and blasting away Cumberbatch!Khan made me laugh so hard I got weird looks from my class. He best part is that he's a confirmed LO for my mother. brb gonna get the brain bleach
Of course, the mega crossover elements were just so... perfect. Especially when the Doctor showed up. And capturing Westley Crusher. And then the Sue capturing montage. Actually, the whole thing is so epic it's hard to pinpoint a favorite part...
..."This is worse than when the worms died!" -

Especially with the Sues. I know, I'm supposed to hate all Sues, but Ensign Sue is just so cute! She is absolutely adorable, and I love her for it.
I also love how God!Sue is not just Mary Sue (you know, the first one) but also a Suethor. Calling those who criticize her story trolls, forcing the world into how she wants it directly, (as opposed to most Sues, who do it unintentionally) and redeeming all of the Sues by maturing as a writer.
You know, the only thing I don't like is the insinuation that Twilight Sparkle is a Sue. She had better been a replacement Sue...
I am a little sad that we will no longer see our little Ensign Sue. I can only hope for a few cameos of Ensign Smith in future comics. Or Le Cutest of Beagle. I'll settle for that. -

...when Ensign Sue disappeared. I was just starting to get attached to her, dammit!
And, well, to be fair, Twilight's transformation was a bit out of the blue. I did approve of them capturing Westley and attempting to capture Bella Swan, but failed because she was too dull of a character.
I thought Sue Prime was supposed to be the Mary Sue from "A Trekkie's Tale". -

That, above all things, has to be clear. I've seen a few good examples for the Redwall fandom.
