Yesterday I walked around a picket line to get to my first resumed class, and I did not wear any green.
We were looking at aurorae, though, and those have a lot of green. Also, the snow's melting, so we have tiny bits of new green showing up. Not much yet, though.
But apart from seeing other people's photos on Facebook, I didn't do a thing. S'pose I could have sung an Irish drinking song (I'm very amused by the fact that I drink very little but love drinking songs) or gone to the subway station (green, of course) named St. Patrick, but...it didn't really occur to me.
I am very amused by your post(s), though.

Well, I didn't do anything special today. College students don't exactly go around pinching people anymore. *shrug* I did wear a green T-shirt, though. (And felt bad for not planning ahead and wearing my new "Luckysaur" T-shirt today. Oh, well.)
Oh, and I found a cool Irish-style cover of a song from Animal Crossing. The original version is pretty good, too. :D -

Oh, boy-o, I can tell ye, the stereotyping can get even thicker, iffen I wanted to. Why, I'm practically prancin' round the clover patch, singing "Danny Boy" at the top o' me lungs! Oh, relax there, me boy, I won't be bringing any leprechauns into this. After all, I may be stereotypical, but I dunne want to be too cliche!
Besides, it's all in good fun. I love stereotypes, as long as they are done in good humor. Besides, I am truly very proud of what Irish blood I do have. My absolute dream vacation is to Ireland. No, nothing anybody can say will change this for me. I love that island, and everything about it.
Also, in real life, I have developed a mean Irish accent. My Scottish ain't too bad either, though it could use some fine-tuning. At the moment, I sound only slightly better then Mel Gibson. Ah well. -

So you Americans are celebrating. We'll just be getting four more years of Bibi, I reckon. (It's elections day today.)

Oof, election day? Joy of joys. Well, let's hope some good comes out of it, at least.

The vote was finished about three hours ago, but there are no results yet. The surveys say that Bibi's party and the Zionist Union, his main contender, have roughly the same number of votes. I'm not optimistic.

That would be a bit relative. I mean one person's good politician may well be another's root of all evil.

Phobos and I (not to mention the entire city of Chicago) got started a bit early. My choir sang some Irish tunes on Sunday, we cooked up a big pot of corned beef, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts yesterday, we're making the leftovers into Ruben sandwiches today, and I've been listening to my favorite Celtic music since the weather turned spring-like a few days ago. I have plenty of green in my wardrobe, so that's gotten some airing, and I also have this pretty moss stone Celtic cross necklace (which I wear because it is green and Celtic, not because it's a cross, lest anyone be misled).
No pints for me, thanks, but slàinte to you anyway. {= )

Or Erin go bragh if you prefer the anglicized version of it. I think I will take you up on that pint. And I am choosing to celebrate this holiday of Irish Heritage, by studying American Law. Now that I have said that, I feel like I might be doing this celebrating thing wrong.

Eating three-day-old bean soup and drinking Dr. Pepper whilst I watch old Twilight zone episodes on Netflix and work on my new Mutants and Masterminds character.
It's like a lot of other days, but I'm also wearing a plastic green bowler hat I got when I was like 10. So it still counts, I guess. -

It's a good thing one of my rings has a green stone in it, I plumb forgot today was St. Patrick's Day. People pinching me left and right. Guess which finger I moved the ring to. Kidding, kidding. I already wear it on that finger. >D
