Have a *digs in closet* butterfly knife and a lucky cat!
Hello, PPC!
I am new here, but I've been reading PPC stories since . . . hmmm . . . 2011? I've read much of the Original Series, and I'm particularly fond of the DTE, though one can find me reading any well-written sporking in a fandom I know about.
(Un)fortunately, I come bearing a possible badfic. I ran across this Cybercase/Pokemon fic:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7041683/3/Cyberchase-and-Pokemon
Centered text, short chapters and SPaG errors aplenty! I couldn't bring myself to read past the first two chapters! If someone can stomach the entire thing and give him some concrit, I'd be happy. If the concrit falls on deaf ears and the PPC needs to be sent (this looks like a job for DTE and DIC), I'd be happier!
I know this is coming from a newer newbie than you, but I'm glad to see a new member. I gift you a....magical eggplant. What power does it contain? The world may never know.
Welcome~! Have some homemade rock-solid muffins! I'll have to warn you though, those are really hard and will break your teeth if you eat them. (I can't cook -.-)
I didn't realize that I haven't logged on till I saw the post...
Anyways, nice to meet you! The name's Rina.
The login is notorious for being broken and almost never working. It's actually much better to type your name in every time. Most of us do it.
Is it just me, or have there been a LOT of newbies lately (myself included)? Oh well, you can never have too many newbies! :D (er, that's not to say that we're to be eaten...)
Welcome! Have a tasty bar of Bleepolate to dull the pain of the badfic!
(also, it's pretty cool to see that there are other people who read the missions for a while before making an appearance on the Board)
Again, welcome,
~DawnFire
Welcome to the PPC at long last, you're very welcome here. Have a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object.
Regarding the process of adopting minis, it can depend on if there's an active OFU or other adopting body for them. With the mini-Balrogs, for example, there's an Adoptions Agency which is run by myself, so I actively update the list whenever I see new ones (or they're reported). But other people just find minis from other fandoms on missions and have their Agents adopt them.
You like the DTE? Which missions have you read? Presumably most of Araeph's?
You're also a fan of Mass Effect and Star Trek, I see! Wonderful! In that case, have this Omni-Tool in case of PPC equipment malfunctions. Also, if you wanted to adopt a mini from the Mass Effect continuum, there's a list of mini-Colossi here: http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/Mini/Mass_Effect
It's a pity I know nothing about Cyberchase or Pokemon, otherwise I might send my DTE agents to go deal with that badfic you mentioned.
Oh, and I don't know what the minis are for the Cyberchase continuum, but I think you spawned one in your last post - 'Cybercase'.
Well, Cyberchase should not be that hard to catch up with; it's an educational show on PBS. After a few episodes, you should get the gist of it.
As for Pokemon, how do you NOT know about Pokemon? Not trying to be rude; I'm truly curious.
*looks back at previous messages* Wow, you're right! How did I miss that?
As for the DTE, I've read all of Araeph's missions and all of yours. (Speaking of Araeph, does anyone know if she's still writing?)
Araeph comes and goes, I think. She was involved in a massive team-up a couple of months ago, but I haven't heard much from her since. She's probably still around, though - she goes through intermittant lurker phases, I believe.
Team-up? Which one? I don't remember Agents Isaiah and Mara being in a team-up--unless it hasn't been released yet...
It fell through, as far as I can tell. There was a whole set of badfics in PotC, Mulan and Little House on the Prairie - the only missions that ever got finished that I know of were my agents' Mulan ones - and the original plan was for Araeph's agents to be along for those, too, but Araeph got snowed under with work. So I finished the missions I'd claimed by myself, and everything else just sort of - dissipated - really.
Ow. Sorry to hear that. Then again, such is the nature of the Real World; it takes priority. That is part of why I am not on FFN: I know that it takes time to write a good story.
How do you adopt a mini anyway? Do you just edit your name next to the available mini on the wiki, or is there a more elaborate proces? Because I'll be honest, sparkle-wolves sound both adorable and reliable, being dogs and all. I would not mind getting my hands on one.
Oh my, I'm late to welcome you to the board. Silly real life getting in the way...
So, you are a portal fan, eh? Most excellent, as am I. So, to mark the ocasion, have yourself a genuine Companion Cube (c) Aperture Science. Now 100% scorch-free!
Now, to wrap things up, all I need to do is ask you one question:
Do you like bananas?
Sorry, but I did NOT say that I was a Portal fan. But thanks for the gift; I might find something useful to do with it.
*looks below more intensely* No, you did not. Huh. I would have sworn...
You ever have one of those days where you mess everything up? Yeah, I think I'm having one of those. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Seriously, though, I would have sworn you did... Strange.
I am starting to gain a new understanding of what you more-experienced PPCers have to put up with. I decided to actually try and read this 'fic that I was plugging, and now seven chapters in, I actually understand why some Agents bonk their heads on the nearest hard surface! There is no doubt about it; this is without a doubt a badfic.
Correction: The link I posted led to chapter 3. Here's a corrected URL. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7041683/1/Cyberchase-and-Pokemon
Welcome to the PPC! We love newbies here! Leave your sanity at the door, and come on in!
Here: as a welcome gift, I give you this theremin concerto by Anis Fuleihan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLLiikYaV1g
Greetings, new friend! Have an Upgrade and a Dubious Disc.
Have some lemming repellent, dear newbie, and welcome!
Well hello~
Have a bottle of Bleepka!
Wow, that's a while to lurk...
Argh, Cyberchase? And we were just talking about nostalgic old shows!
Have a Balvhakaran powered armor suit! Specially modified to work for a human, despite the maker's complaints about letting idiot goblins get ahold of their equipment...
I'd prefer to say that I'm just a voracious reader (especially since I don't usually hang around the Board proper; that 'fic that I mentioned is what brought me out of hiding).
And could you please link me to the where you were talking about nostalgic old shows?
Hi, have some fudge!
Since you seem to like Pokemon, here's a free, exteremely condensed down glitch Pokemon Missingno.! While it's pretty tame and obedient, don't let it near the console. Just... don't.
Hi! I'm fairly new myself. Have a plate of brownies and tube of urple glitter glue!
Hello, son! I be KittyNoodles, and I am very impressed that you know about the DTE and the DIC! :D
Here, have some bleepnerds and your choice of confetti or a huggle!
I'd take that over confetti any day!
Have a *digs in closet* butterfly knife and a lucky cat!
Always good to see another new face around the board. Enjoy your stay!
What are your fandoms? I want to give an appropriate gift.
I am familiar with a lot of continua, but If I had to list those that I would consider "fandoms", I'd say:
Star Trek: Voyager
Xenoblade Chronicles
Kingdom Hearts
Final Fantasy X, XIII, and XIII-2
Mega Man X
Most of the other continua I am familiar with are sci-fi and video games, including:
Stargate Atlantis
Final Fantasy VII and VIII
Mass Effect
Mario
Sonic
Jak and Daxter
Oops, forgot a fandom: Pokemon. Can't forget that--it IS part of the reason I'm here, after all.
So... random question. Favorite Pokemon?
Don't really have one, though I am drawn to the legendaries. They are just so . . . larger-than-life, you know?
I have three:
Jigglypuff: This little pink puffball was what got me interested in Pokemon in the first place. While I knew Pikachu was from this "Pokemon" series, Encountering Jigglypuff in Super Smash Brothers Melee was a life-changer.n Besides, it's adorable and has it's charm.
Gastly: Cute, ghostly, and easy to draw. It helps that my first shiny I've seen peronally was my step-mother's shiny Gastly.
And finally:
Missingno.: While not a "true" Pokemon, but a Glitch Pokemon, it still counts (Well, I think it does, anyway.) It introduced me to the world of glitches, can be considered one of the safest of "Glitchmon", and is one of the few "Glitchmon" that can be caught without a cheat code. Oh, it also duplicates one of your items in a certain slot, so that's nice too.
It may not be one that you're part of the fandom of, but still, you're familiar with it! Maybe we could trade stories one of these days! Awesome times would be had with that, yeah?
Voyager, no less. That and TNG are my favorites. It depends on my mood.
My standard gift for a Trek fan is a tribble, but you specified Voyager, so how about a Borg Tribble? Resistance to their fluffyness is futile.
(This is completely unrelated, but your username looks familiar - did you ever review/favorite/follow any of my stories on fanfiction.net? If you did, thanks!)
My username should look familiar to you--I sent you a PM about OFAS. (MOAR! MOAR!) Of course, thanks to ffn's refusal to allow underscores in usernames, I go by son-of-heaven176 on ffn.
The next chapter is in the beta phase right now. Just watch the Board, I'll announce it here. As I said, glad to see someone else likes it!
And welcome to the Board! Have some of my world-famous hydrophobic water to commemorate the event. Winner of this year's Ig Nobel chemistry prize!
Is this your first post? Then a gift should be in order. I'll give you a feet of virtual raw keropok lekor. Slice it thin and fry for a crispy snack, or cut it into long pieces for a savoury snack. If it isn't your first post, oh well, I haven't beeen active until recently.
I won't comment on the badfic though, I still need to improve a lot on my grammar.
