Good job!
Incidentally, I did something similar to this- They Think They're Wonderful.
In which I mocked the heck out of Doctor Who cliches. Because, as I mentioned before, about half of the fanfics on ff.net are 'OC meets Doctor'.

This is great, Lily. Are you planning on expanding at any point to other canons, or sticking to LOTR? Or do you have no plan beyond 'let's have some fun with these terrible Circle fics'?

Do more, do more! I have no idea who Penneth Lamaeniel is, but I like her style! Is she in the Silmarillion? (Totally heard Julie Roberts in my head when I read it, btw)

I see your backstory is still as messed-up as ever. Don't worry, the Society of Angry PPC Eldar will be along any day month year now to get those nasty Silmarilli out of your blood. Permanently.
Nice story. ^_^ I'm definitely picturing Penneth as a friend of my own Parmiel; rather snarkier, though.

I quite enjoyed that! It's a very different sort of sporking, and I like how it turned out.
All the links within the narrative are especially nice for those of us, like me, who can't hold all the Tolkien knowledge together in our brains. I also very much appreciated the link to Lamarckian "genetics" in the first response. Guess that author didn't hit high school bio yet. :|
I think what I like best about this approach is that it really is explicitly educational. If the original authors encounter this, they will actually be pointed towards the references they need to improve. It makes this story a bit more high class and constructive than the average spork.
