This is great, Lily. Are you planning on expanding at any point to other canons, or sticking to LOTR? Or do you have no plan beyond 'let's have some fun with these terrible Circle fics'?
Do more, do more! I have no idea who Penneth Lamaeniel is, but I like her style! Is she in the Silmarillion? (Totally heard Julie Roberts in my head when I read it, btw)
I'm thinking of continuing her responses to Sue ordeals every time I unwisely overexpose myself to the Circle too long.
Originally it was going to fall under the premise that Legolas was getting too many love letters from all the Legolusting Sues out there, and thus had roped one of the servants into writing responses to his fanmail, and said servant started getting annoyed at the Sues after the tenth one or so and started acting snarky to them. But then I thought just straying back to its original inspiration, That Bad Advice would be more entertaining in the long run.

I quite enjoyed that! It's a very different sort of sporking, and I like how it turned out.
All the links within the narrative are especially nice for those of us, like me, who can't hold all the Tolkien knowledge together in our brains. I also very much appreciated the link to Lamarckian "genetics" in the first response. Guess that author didn't hit high school bio yet. :|
I think what I like best about this approach is that it really is explicitly educational. If the original authors encounter this, they will actually be pointed towards the references they need to improve. It makes this story a bit more high class and constructive than the average spork.
