I would give it the capacity to recognize which species are canon and which would break canon, and send back an error message if you tried to tell it to turn you into something that wasn't canon. But if I were designing a CAD, I'd design it to be able to handle awful Sues without blowing up, so I guess that's not saying much.

That the DORKS might not do it automatically unless it was a special one. It would probably be up to the canon on how much it dislikes humans. I have seen an andelite run around a human world without problems.

In the case of Lion witch and Wardrobe, canon would probably accept random humans in Narnia. There were humans on the planet that contains Narnia, descendants of Frank and Calormorenes. (Gets bit by mini-dragon.) I was actually under the impression that humans wandered in from elsewhere often enough that the witch got one during Tumnus' lifetime.
