Boy oh boy, isn't earth just brilliant?
I'll bet those Martians and Jovians and whatnot feel like a right bunch of buggers whenever they look up and see us, don't they?
To celebrate our lovely space-bound rock, I shall note my favourite part of earth: The Gomantong Caves.
My favourite parts of them are the parts that are literally covered in mountains of bat droppings, which, in turn, is endlessly crawling with a massive population of cockroaches.
Isn't earth just a jolly little diamond?
I'd like to see you fellows find somewhere more drenched in nature's beauty. Or at least, what you think is more drenched, because, let me tell you, it'll be a tough time convincing me.
Mostly a hecka lot of water.

Google have some really nice doodles for today. I think my favourite is the one with the elephant, but they are all pretty.
Anyway, speaking of the Gomantong Caves, have you seen BBC's Planet Earth? They did an episode on caves and the Gomantong Caves were in it. There's some really funny bonus material on the DVD as well. Interviews with the camera crew who talk about how they filmed that enormous pile of droppings.
I bloody love Attenborough. I've got an entire collection of his Life series. Remarkable stuff.

I think my favourite one is the velvet worm. It's more like Spiderman than most spiders are, though, I suppose 'Velvet Worm Man' just doesn't have the same ring. .
