I just bought my first DS and a copy of Pokemon White! It's a pink DS Lite.
So... any suggestions? ^_^

I haven't played White in a while, so the only specific recommendation I have is "get the Larvesta egg once it's available to you, I'm told Volcarona are awesome". ^^;
It's only my opinion, but I think that getting a Ghost type could be a good idea, Chandelure and Golurk seem pretty neat for me, and not only for the Elite 4. Besides, if you want to do a Nuzlocke, a Ghost type will soak up all the Explosion of the world. Other Nuzlockers could think it's a bad idea, but I already saved some of my Pokemons this way with my Misdreavus in my Pearl Nuzlocke.
Get an Eelektross.
Because Eelektross is best pokey men.
DID SOMEBODY SAY POKéMON?!
What sort of suggestions do you want? Which starter to pick?
It's generally accepted that Oshawott gives you the easiest run and Snivy the hardest, but it really all comes down to personal preference. Just remember to always have a well-balanced team with good coverage, and you'll be ready for anything! except that final boss god i hate that final boss augh
I... chose Snivy anyway. >_>
I love her -- she's just so snaky and attitudinal. Also, apparently Purrloin is kinda terrible until it gets Fury Swipes? Valefor, my Purrloin, is using Cut as his main attack now. Because he can't deal any damage otherwise. Hopefully he'll do better as a Liepard.
My Lilipup, however, is pretty great. She's nearly as useful as Zeta, and she's also brought me a great ball, a full heal, and a hyper potion.
I fought the first gym, too! The only really eventful parts of that were: the level 4 Patrat I caught because he was the first one and I wasn't sure if I was doing a nuzlocke yet (I decided not to) took one of the "two turns charging up moves" which probably would have been an OHKO for Valefor. The other one was my Panpour super-effective critically hitting the gym leader's fire monkey for an OHKO.
And Stoutland is surprisingly good, especially since its hidden ability is Sand Rush. Works well with stuff like Hippowdon. God, I've not run a sand team in aaaaaages. =]
Then again, I pick the Fire-type every time. And call it Prodigy. Because puns.
