... that's self-evidently true. The structure of the universe does not include language (unless it does). So... where's the big philosophical debate supposed to be? Whether people can/should be allowed to change the meaning of words over time?

I think all the wives in the PPC would agree that words change their meaning. ^_~ You may take that sentence in any of its possible interpretations; I think it holds true for all of them.
