The only reason Orions were banned in the inner solar system was that most governments hate fun*. Come on, radiation isn't that bad for you! It's the same thing they tried to cure cancer with when I was young!
I might be biased on that one, though. I love those ships. Though I just can't stop laughing like a maniac when the drive is turned on.
*(I'd like to add a friendly reminder that the Democratic People's Haha-Just-Kidding-It's-A-Totalitarian-Dictatorship of Domirossia has a minimum of 10 hours a week of mandatory fun for all citizens.)
