Aww, yuss, New Horizons is sending pictures again.
Including the first shot of (a tiny portion of) the nightside - lit by atmospheric twilight.

That's when we left for Io, though even that was on the back of the Titan trip in '57. But when we got done with Io... well...

The claimed loadout of the Io ship has been filled up, but people got on and off at Jupiter. Well, technically we all got off, and picked up a new ship:
If you're out at Jupiter, that's probably evidence in the question of whether the 'leftover' Orions are ex-military or ex-construction...

The only reason Orions were banned in the inner solar system was that most governments hate fun*. Come on, radiation isn't that bad for you! It's the same thing they tried to cure cancer with when I was young!
I might be biased on that one, though. I love those ships. Though I just can't stop laughing like a maniac when the drive is turned on.

We've not had a H. floresiensis or H. neanderthalensis yet, though I suppose Hobbits and Uruk-hai could stand in for those two...
Hey, is this that same dig where they had to advertise for skinny women in order to even get into the cave? I think it might be; cool, it's nice to know it was worthwhile.
