This got a bit bigger than I anticipated. I... Agh, I really hate to do this, but I don't think I can handle that many people. The idea was for a daily PBP, which would create a bit of strain if you're looking for something really casual. If you've already gotten a character sheet to me, or given me evidence that you're working on it, or just talked to me about what you want to do with a character, you're fine, but, uh... I really don't think I could do more than six people, seven at the very most.

I only got to postulate on... thirtennth place, so I'll gess I'll sit it out, or will wait for if a place gets free later in the campaign.
But I still want to work on a character, and I'm on the lookout for advices. I want to build a type of hero like Infamous Second Son Conduits, with Electricity as energy type. -

A brief bit of background: when starting at level ten, your character gets 150 points
and the game is overto spend on everything - stats, powers, skills, advantages, and defence boosts. Mesa's power wound up being really, really complicated, and required a huge amount of downsides and creative applications of rules both house and in the handbook in order for it to function in the way I'd intended.
Getting her power to a usable level took eighty-two points. Which left me sixty-eight points to spend on literally everything else. Which was, er, fun! But I think I've got a very compelling character, and I really want to get into the game and bend spacetime into interesting shapes until it starts crying! =] -

Mine cost a whopping 103 points to gain the level of invulnerability that I wanted. Practically zero skill points in anything other than punching people harder. =]

Mesa... isn't. Like, she really, really isn't. Forget gales, an overzealous fart could knock her over, poor thing. She's got some stats, yeah, but they're largely in Awareness and Agility, which aren't brilliant for combat except in the sense that she can dodge real good and her power requires a check against Insight to do anything. And her power's damage base when attacking anything is six.

He's a sniper, so he is incredibly squishy, but he is also the hardest hitter on the team. This is why I gave him the ability to let his
meatshieldsteammates move on his turn (really useful when he is the first to act). He also gets a bonus to Defense for standing next to anexpendable minionally. Useful when even the nerdy Jedi has way more hit points than you do (not to mention the members of the team I call Wall Crew).
It's good to havebullet magnetsfriends.

That your character (I assume) was capable of a shedload of damage. Not so Mesa. She's just got a really weird and inefficient power, but I think it's more fun that way. =]

Don't worry about the time frame there. It will be, at the least, several days before this begins, probably longer. If you're worried about time frame for the games, it's a play-by-post, and time between GM posts will probably depend on convenience for the players.

I'm not sure how often the game would progress, but I'd expect the characters would be advancing at least five Power Levels, which means a total of forty-five Power Points to be gained. Each session gives one Power Point, two if the heroes pull off something truly spectacular. So, assuming that, say, each Power Level has one session granting two Power Points, that's still a total of forty sessions, and each session is, I'm pretty sure, equivalent to a few hours of gaming. This would be a long haul. ... Good bunnies, what have I gotten myself into?

I'll be running Galeforce, your average flying brick teenage superhero.
Also, for anybody who wants to join but doesn't know the system, I've been studying it for all of two days now and have an okayish handle on what the rules are, so if you've got questions about builds I'd be more than happy to try and answer themkeyword being 'try'.
Best part about play-by-post games is that you don't need a super-huge grasp on the rules to play, so don't let the size of the handbook discourage you. :)
