I had a thought: during my agents' last mission, one of the misspellings they encountered was 'Buge'. It created a mini, of course, but I reckon it also might have created something else.
In fact, I think it sounds something like rouge, the French for red, perhaps crossed with beige. Now, we all know what tends to happen with red in Star Trek, and I think you can guess what Buge was actually a misspelling of. So if red is a magnet for trouble and misfortune, I suspect Buge is a magnet for a particular kind of trouble - namely that which it is a misspelling of...
On a different note, and as a result of playing STO and starting reading HFA, I thought the Hirogen might be one good method of catching students trying to wander various places where they shouldn't (if drones and minis and security and whatever else weren't enough).
