A humble request by

Hello, and good evening to you. I would like to relay a message from an individual who requested my assistance. She has recently been banned here, and she appears quite hurt by this, though she is not requesting that the ban be lifted.
She would simply appreciate it if you would be willing to have a discussion outside of this forum with the help of a third party mediator, in order to resolve this issue in a congenial manner. And as I stated, she has expressed no desire or expectations that her ban be lifted. Please let me know if you would be willing to accommodate her request. I will relay the information back to her. -

I will agree to this, but at this point in the day, I need to go to work, so please direct further dialogue to Mythcreant as I was asked to request. I would help more if I could, but you’d have to wait for several hours, and I’m not sure that would be a fair request or one you’d be willing to accept. Mythcreant, however, has agreed to help.

Suggestions to zdimensia by

I'd suggest to zdimensia that, if she takes us up on this offer, she take a few days at least to go through all the history and put together this one last message, making sure she's hit the points she'd like to address (and pointed at relevant quotes if needed).
I'd also suggest that zdimensia should find someone willing to help her with ensuring her message is coherent and understandable. I think the person I'm replying to (Anonymous) might fit the bill, but I'm not sure.

However, this community wants nothing more to do with zdimensia/Bramandin/etc. It is abundantly clear that we are bad for her, and she is bad for us. We would quite like it if she would move on with her life and allow us to do the same with ours, but she keeps forcing herself on us, and you are helping her to persist in doing it. Please stop now.

First, the "Icks" misspelling doesn't sound like one made from word of mouth to me, especially when Ix isn't exactly inactive on the board. The correct spelling was present. That makes the "Icks" spelling seem more like an insult. Ick, specifically.
If Zd is siccing her friends on us, then it's no better than what she did already.
More than anything else, though, designating someone as a villain is a bad idea. Real people should not be villains. Even if it isn't Bram being used as the villain, the Board is mostly the interactions of real people, so that risks crossing a line you probably shouldn't. -

Twisted, I think you're overanalyzing this a little bit. Just ignoring and giving the problem as least credit as possible is my approach, and I feel that this situation, though "unresolved", will not progress any time soon, and can be safely ignored.
Regarding the "Board Villain".
The juxtaposition of your new idea, on this particular post, makes you really seem like your Board villain is zd, or Bram, or Palin. Vilifying people is a harsh and mean thing to do. If you didn't mean it that way, please please clarify it. -

So far, no one I'm aware of has responded, and I think that's the right thing to do. Just don't respond at all. Particularly don't give out anyone's contact information without their consent.

Those banned IP addresses are the only reason zdimensia is not popping up several times a day. If you want their new tactic to be bombarding the Board so fast that they overwhelm the Nameless Admin then, by all means, remove the IP bans. I don't think that is a situation we want to find ourselves in, so the IP bans should probably stay.

Contrary to rumour, there hasn't actually been a mass blocking of groups of IP addresses. The only person who's been 'caught' by a previously blocked IP was, in fact, a sock or meat-puppet of Zdimensia.
Zdimensia is a banned user, and technical measures will continue to be used to enforce that ban. This discussion is about what actions the Nameless Admin should be empowered to make when those measures fail.

I think by this point anyone who has a chance of identifying a Zdimensia sockpuppet can probably get in touch with a Nameless Admin one way or another; it's not like newbies with a degree in Invader From Dimension Z Identification are going to be popping up! This isn't a template for future decisions or anything - it's strictly a one-off way to deal with someone who has been haranguing the Board for four years now, and shows no sign of stopping.

Her pages were originally put there by me, but later zdimensia requested that everything be deleted. It looks like Tomash relayed the request and doctorlit carried it out. For example: http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Log?type=delete&page=September+Johnson
This could be undone, but personally, I don't see what anyone would gain from it.

Since zdimensia expressed a Very Strong Desire to have acknowledged that she was a good enough writer to get Permission (which nobody actually denied), I wondered whether somebody might want to check how good this writing actually was, and then I wondered why I couldn’t find any links on the wiki.
You’re right; it doesn’t need to be undone.

I actually forgot that zdimensia of too many names is also Toopurple and that maybe I should look there.
I wouldn’t trust myself or anybody else to write a summary that can’t be accused of being biased. Thus the idea of telling the full story by simply linking everything; it would be an advantage over everybody who wants to know "the truth" having to search through the archives on their own.

I would rather not have it on the FAQ. by

The whole point of this approach is to let us forget about her, not to tell every newbie about her.
If you think a fuller version of this is required, I can probably pull together links to every thread that either a) involved a Zdimensia vote, b) was used as evidence in one, or c) was posted by her or her meat-puppets after Bramandin's ban.

zdimensia's been spreading some pretty nasty lies in other places of the internet about us; people who jump to her cause aren't going to go "Hmm, maybe I should get the other side of the story?" before coming on here to defend her.
It would just be an extra way to fuel people's questions if we put her in the FAQ. -

Most significantly: I also disagree with silent editing. That seems far too heavy for something that's really a pretty minor nuisance.
I don't think we need to formalize things for third parties that are not zdimensia. There's a lot of possible ways that those could go- from this one (a relatively reasonable discussion, I think?), to ones that turn out to be yet another sockpuppet- I'd rather not set hard rules now. -

You say this isn't perfect, but we aren't exactly addressing a perfect situation, either. I think we should at least give this plan a try. I can't see any way to improve it off the top of my head; my biggest qualm is that it leaves an undue amount of unpleasant work for the Nameless Admin, but I don't know how else to treat this issue. I'm tired of this topic coming up over and over again without change.
