Subject: Does this fic and its sequels suck?

Maybe it's just me but there's something about this series that rubs me the wrong way...
From a cursory glance at it, it's the self-insert and somewhat clunky writing.
But is this series sucky enough to be mission material? I should note that the character learns to speak the language of carnivorous dinosaurs later. Along with skillfully wielding a bow and arrow, is that Mary-Sueish?
Somewhat, but in my opinion they're better targets to go after.
