I went to the Colorado Renaissance Festival yesterday! It was quite enjoyable, even though I didn't do as much as I could've. More importantly, it made me remember Plort again. Does anyone want to start a Plort session? I have some self-made messes I'd like to clean up. :P

I went with a third option and used the "Source Editor" by default. I seem to remember that I’ve just recently seen those little boxes of categories and media when I chose the "Visual Editor" from the Edit Button’s menu, but either I’ve dreamed that or it doesn’t work anymore. I’ve now set my preference to "Classic rich-text editor (where available)". (Any idea what’s to do where it’s not available? /rhetorical question)

The roads are the big thing we've never named in Plort - they tend to get stuck with geographical names, on the assumption that someone will stick a name on them later.
The same goes for the sea routes that aren't named Hyparlink: they're just names of places they go to.

Purely a misread there.

Either way, It should be full of twisty little passages, all alike, circling back on one another to represent the circularity of the revision process.
Many great crusades have been lost in the foothills of Reev'shun...
...but I would also rather like to not have Hitler there.
I'm completely calm, thanks for being concerned.
I'm also not going to explain myself. I'm not convinced that trying to explain myself about a matter such as this wouldn't make me sound like zdimensia, especially now that I'm a repeat offender about the subject.

The appropriate thing to do if multiple people tell you what you're doing is unwanted is to a) stop it, b) apologize, and c) fix the problem if possible and make sure not to do it again.
Grasp that, and you'll be fine.

That is about six more Hitlers than I ever thought I'd mention on the Board.

The heraldry of SIR THOTH, Semi-Competent Wizard Errant, Sometime Archivist's Assistant, and General Nuisance:
...and for some reason, the board's HTML is jerking me around tonight, so here's a baretext link: https://postimg.cc/image/5985h1s5n/
D'ya reckon I did alright?
I mean, I tried. The symmetry's slightly off: https://postimg.cc/image/upczjsg6z/
As you can see, sticking to the same motifs, albeit with a different design. Lots of text characters. Why? Because I'm a bad artist. :-P
Simple, elegant... I'll take it.
Just a minor request...
Can we put the silver Ibis on the flag? I mean, unless that would ruin it. I am not the vexillology expert here.
...Oh, and also unless it would be too much trouble for you. Don't do it then either.
It's either a reuse of symbolism interpreted otherwise, or borrwing an established symbol that fits. Both makes sense, either work.
That doesn't quite look like what I was thinking of, but it still looks great!
No, I definitely didn't know about the district in Russia. Thanks for the random fact!
I have a picture in my head but it’s hard to put into words. There’s no need to make a new one, the one I’ve got is perfectly fine.
Because the pose of an animal charge *is* something you can specify in heraldry. It's known as the animal's 'attitude'.
For example, while Huinesoron didn't specify the attitude of the snow leopard in the blazon, the snow leopard in the arms he presented was a Snow Leopard Sejant Regardant Proper, which translates to "A snow leopard, sitting down (Sejant), looking behind itself (Regardant), colored as a snow leopard would be in real life (Proper)."
Here's the Wikipedia article on attitudes in heraldry if you want to look through it.
That might not have been true for a while, though.
There's no Plort RPing community out there that you're missing, though. It's all (mostly) on the Board.

It's just to do with what comprises the boundary between one side and the other: mainly, real time and not real time. For the branches, I was probably thinking of the Eastern and Western hemispheres, since the side of the prime meridian you're on also plays a part in determining who interacts on the Board and who interacts in chat. By the same token, could additionally refer to Eastern and Western US time zones, or whatever other east-west divide you like. But I'm not making a statement about where any PPC server space is located in the real world.

And yeah, I knew the way I laid out the blazon was excessively crude. Thanks for simplifying it.
...a pink sun, or some other quasi-homage to Lichtspeer? Pink spears crossed, maybe, if that's a thing. Lol.
-Twistey
Pink spears. (Or rather, 'indil in fore, pink crossed spears'.)
It also resembles a compass rose, which ties into Twyla's interests beyond Plort.

I love the flag! It's got a rather nice interpretation of the coat of arms. So... does the flag go into the Plort Wiki article like the new coats of arms do?
-Twistey
Yeah, you were right to keep the flaunches. Wolf 3D is still a big part of me, albeit in a new way. When I got into Lichtspeer, I noticed that it's basically the opposite of Wolfenstein 3D, and I've explored that idea in a few ways with a concept I call "the holy duality." I find it rather interesting. Anyway, thanks again for the coat of arms!

We recently did some updates on the Plort map, and plort setting as a whole. And even more recently, we brought around the concept of space-plort, which I don't have a link to right now, but there's certainly a setting for it (though I don't think a map exists, correct me if I'm wrong.)
It's still in my Shared With Me from when I opened the link that Delta Juliette sent. Do you want it?
