"I guess? I still am not sure what it is we're doing but it sounds interesting, so... sure?"
"One. This is the PPC. We defend the multiverse from Mary Sues and their ilk, who are spawned by people writing bad stories about said multiverse. Two. We have many departments, each specializing in their way of dealing with the Suvians: I'll give you the rundown of the most important ones. DMS deals with Suvians themselves. DBS handles badly-handled slash pairings-- more on that later. DI...angles multiverses which are smooshed together by badfic. DoI scouts for badfic. Personnel handles agent recruitment and such, DIA and DES handle internal and external security respectively, and Finance does nothing. Three. The job is dehumanizing-- good thing we're not human-- the pay is awful, most of us end up insane, and the Cafeteria food tries to eat you."
"And you wonder why we face a manpower shortage. If only we had better PR."
"Can it, Taldaris. I'm giving Nine a chance to escape."
"We didn't really have a currency back home, so any money at all is interesting to me. Bad stories? Like with bad grammer and spelling and such? Because how would that break things?"
((This is my last post for the day, and yes, fancy not-being-logged-in-ness!
"Look dude, what don't you understand about 'this job eats away at your soul'? Luna's stars, I'm giving you a chance to get out of here unscathed! Take it and run!" said Fire Flash.
"Like you said, It's his choice" said Taldaris, "so Nine? While she does have a very good point, Fire Flash forgot to mention that the stories-- with bad 'grammer' as you put it-- tear away at the base fabric of their realities. They twist the world and its inhabitants and reduce them to shells of their former selves. The PPC aims to protect the multiverse from this plague. It's a bit difficult to explain right now but the Marquis will see that you are well informed before making a decision."
"...which you are pressuring him into making the wrong choice," grumbled Fire Flash.
While Fire Flash said this, a grey-haired man was walking towards the group, dressed in an orange-and-pink pinstripe suit with a black tie. He was drinking some coffee, but he spit it out upon seeing them.
After getting over the initial surprise, he looked over the group with his bloodshot eyes, rubbing his stubbled chin, while drinking what was left of his coffee. Then, he threw the cup to the floor-shattering it-before pointing at the group, saying, "who are you things, what sort of place is this, and is this just another illusion of the mind?"
"Apperantly this is the PPC, you're here now, and can't leave. No, you're not insane unless this is some bizzare shared dream, which, last time I checked, was impossible."
While the grey-haired man is saying this, his face is set in the same grimace. By the tone of his voice, you get the sense that he doesn't believe you.
((...don't tell others how their characters should react in a RP, is bad manners.))
((In case it wasn't your intention, that's what the wording in your sentence conveys, it should something more like "[your character] said it with a disbelieving tone in his voice", rather than, well, what you wrote.))
"Yes! Really. I know it sounds insane but ask some other guy, I'm new too."
((Sorry, I'll try to do better next time.))
The man, grimacing, scratched at his face, and then said to the Andalite, "is there a way to leave this place? Because I think I got in here by walking through some doors. I suppose you can leave here if you do that, unless I'm wrong."
"And..." *beat* "... you know what, I'm not even going to ask that question. I mean, this place is run by daisies, so how much crazier can it get?"
((The answer: much crazier. He has no clue what he's getting into. I see him as not quite understanding that thing about souls, so he went temporarily deaf.))
((While I know my earlier post on this thread wasn't too great, I wonder if I can still join in. Also, I wonder how I can incorporate a new person into this story, as I have only been on for a short while.))
((Yeah, you can join in. Incorporating a new person in is easy, really: when people are walking-and-talking in HQ like the characters are doing now, it's really easy to bump into people. Or just pass them by or whatnot.))
