Listen, man, the poop jokes where you replace the show's name with a poop word are really, really funny, good on ya, I appreciate it, it really does feel like something right out of Seth McFarlane's oeuvre.

But can you give it a rest?! This isn't a bloody Nostalgia Critic video, your subscriber count and week's pay isn't dependent on how many poop butt fart puns you make. We get it, everyone gets it, Starman Discovery is Bad and it spells out the funny sex disease acronym.

I respect your passion, mate, I very much do. That sorta passion in fan communities is exactly why Star Trek has lasted so long, has made such a huge impact on popular culture. And this is a fandom-centric community, so that sorta passion is what's fueled this entire place for so bloody long, too. We're driven by that kinda stuff.

But surely there are more constructive outlets for it beyond irrelevant childish potshots and calling its fans diseased?

Look at the entire basis of the PPC: rather than just complaining incessantly about a bad fanfiction or bad trends within fanfiction, it, instead, uses bad fanfiction as a launching off point to create its own mythos, it's own storytelling and characters and world and so on and so forth. An entirely new and unique work of art has been added to the world!

Complaining about bad things is fun for a bit, I know, I would absolutely know, because I find myself doing the same thing, too. But other than letting some steam off, maybe getting a few chortles from mates, it's pointless. And if you let it just fester too long, it gets outright toxic!
