Oh, boy, it's been... checks the date on the Dreamwidth a minute since I've last posted one of these things. I sort of haven't had a lot of inspiration for dipping back into the PPC-verse in the past few months, but I've had this mission written since sometime summer last year. There were IRL reasons why the betaing and publishing of it had slid into 2022, through no fault of my own or anyone else involved with this, but here it is, finally out in the wild. My Bad Slash agent pair from RC 7a are back, tackling a very... interesting Yu-Gi-Oh badfic. Content warnings: some borderline-NSFW innuendo jokes. Nothing graphic, but lots of innuendo, although the general tone of the mission itself is still within PG-13 range, I believe.
Check it out here if you wish. Many thanks to friend eatpraylove for the betaing.
Now, as for some other things: I've said this in my other Board post currently on the first page, but I want to apologize for not interacting with the Board very much in the past few weeks. There is some cool stuff here, some new people, and some Serious Business, all things I wish I could be involved with, but to quote myself, I'm not doing superb and funky for several IRL reasons. I'm still active in the PPC Discord, but the only thing I can genuinely focus on right now is a writing project I've started, titled Hexmaster, which I've been posting about on the Board as it develops. Any feedback on it would mean a lot to me, but a. I don't want to guilt-trip people, and 2. this is a mission plug, so I don't want to shill my original fiction too much. Moving on.
Merry reading to those who decide to check out this mission. I hope you'll like the latest adventure of Sumie and Finn. (Agent Gallop is from their first mission - you might remember him as "Bill" the horse-man. I intended to publish this mission together with an interlude explaining the name change, but as I said, inspiration has been avoiding me on that front, so it might be a while before I'll manage to get it done.)

Sorry I took so long to read this! It has been a very busy, tiring month.
A short, simple mission with a lot of original series vibes! I especially enjoyed the dialogue in the exorcism scenes, as well as the agents' observations on/interactions with the excess punctuation. I also thought the ending scene with Sumie and Gallop setting out to help Finn was quite sweet.

Gosh, that was quite a mission. The character 180 and confusing slash was quite a fun ride.

- The thing was the anime glasses was funny
- As is stabby hair
- And the rollercoaster rides line
- Nice agent bonding moment on the backstory
- I think the flying pigs are currently on a different mission
- The exorcism bell would've been a cheap joke, but also would've worked, making the meta commentary also funnier
- "Not in a T-rated fic, he won't"
- Looking for goodslash is a good idea
- Ok, but are you sure we should be getting our minds out of the gutter?
- Good luck to your folks in finding Intel
Overall, there were a lot of funny bits, there wasn't too much quoting from the badfic but enough excerpts and references to make it obvious what's going on, the whole thing made sense even though I didn't know Yu-Gi-Oh, and there was good chemistry between the agents.
So, all I can really say is that this was good and funny!

A while ago I was quite worried that my missions weren't funny enough, so it makes me really glad to see this one being well-received. :) Thanks for reading!

There were a lot of funny moments, like the anime glasses gleam, the fire alarm wailing, and the spirit saying "R&R" like in an a/n!

All bolded quotes were directly from the fic, so the 'r&r' bit was an actual A/N. :P But I'm glad you enjoyed this! I think the anime glasses joke is my favorite part of this mission.

I missed out on having a Yu-Gi-Oh! phase growing up, but I've grown to like the series more now that I have friends who write in it.
(Which means I have run across goodslash now and again...)
This was a fun mission, and nothing stuck out to me as wrong about the mission itself, though that badfic would have given me a headache for sure!
Thanks for writing. ^^

(I'm not stressing, exactly, I just miss interacting with a community I love. But I'll try to be around a bit more from now on.)
