Just 1500 words of cute (if they're not yours) kids and harassed parents, including the parents hassling each other. Constance may be a devious sneak.
Also a bit of architectural artwork, if you like that sort of thing.

Considering how short this story is, you did an amazing job of showing how different each of the children's personalities are, both in terms of age/relative maturity level, and in what's likely to interest or upset them! I do feel bad for Constance here, though. I get the feeling she wanted to live in a more familiar, earth-style environment, but the rest of her family was so used to more fantastical places . . . But I'm glad they found the French Quarter as a kind of a compromise! the house is much too Yellow for my tastes, but the courtyard and pool are nice!
Just one typo: a missing apostrophe on
"Daphne tugged her mothers hand."

Constance's childhood home was pretty spacious, so I'm not sure the more crowded American Quarter would have suited her. My theory is that she was using those houses as a gateway, so that when they saw the French Quarter later on they'd (and particularly Dafydd would) be more favourably disposed. Dafydd was quite happy off in the middle of nowhere, after all!
Typo is fixed. The yellow may be a /bit/ strong, but it's true to the inspiration, and Dafydd thinks it looks like fire. :D
