Are we sure this is okay? I mean, would this count as harrassing, in a sense? My Immortal makes sense because it's imfamous, but a lot of these are from little-known fics.

Edit: I guess I should make it a little clearer. I think the rules should be a little bit clearer, like only allowing badfic older than 5 years or your own badfic. I just don't want this RP used against us, I suppose, in people's views. I don't want this to be used as evidence that we bully, because we don't. I'm just nervous.
So, until I say otherwise, please ignore the above post and leave me out of this RP. (not mad. Bolding for emphasis.)
Perhaps we should stick to well-known/Legendary Sues? Maybe this wasn't a good idea... :(
Any time, in a mission, that we write what a Sue does in response to the Agents, we're creating new lines for her. Is this so different?
On one hand, in the context of a mission, making up lines for the Sue in reaction to the agents highlights the problems with the Sue (a contrast, if you will). Under certain death, it shows us more of why the Sue is flawed.
On the other, in this RP, you're copying the style of these Sues which, sure, points out the flaws, but the context rubs me the wrong way. It's an RP that makes fun of others' characters in a sort of bad way, I guess? (If any oldbie wants to also weigh in, please do.)
I suppose I'm seeing this from if I were in this situation. Missions provide concrit within the layers of humor. This RP really doesn't. If some were to, say, mission a fanfic I wrote, I would feel hurt, but I would see some of the concrit said, perhaps, and take them to heart. Learn how to fix my mistakes. If, on the other hand, I saw my main character thrown into an RP like this, I would feel more hurt. I would feel like my character was deemed horrible.
This isn't necessarily even touching on the "write like the Suethor" part. If I saw someone mimicking my A/N style or writing my acutal A/N and saying "((yeah, that's what they actually wrote))," it would hurt.
I guess I'm seeing this as someone who knows about the PPC in general and not an outsider, but, at the exact same time, it just doesn't feel right to me. It's probably a personal thing, especially since only one character breaks the "has to be 5 years or older" guideline I had suggested.
I'm not trying to be harsh, just weighing in.

So, my reaction to this when I first saw it can be summed up as "Why?", but I figure most of that is due to personal taste and lack of energy, and I don't want to step on other people's fun.
I also have some misgivings about good taste, but TBH I'm less worried about offending authors who are mostly trolls and will probably never see this, more worried about repeating and indeed exaggerating trollish depictions of sensitive issues such as race and self-harm, which I notice have come up in the RP already. Playing Suvians and being silly is probably fine; devolving into a competition of who can be the most insensitive or offensive is definitely not fine.
My advice: Linstar, as the Original Poster, you have some responsibility to ensure your game runs smoothly. Do be careful to keep a lid on that stuff and let people know if they're close to crossing the line. Other Boarders (such as doctorlit, I've seen) will step in if necessary, but try not to let it get that far.
Also, remember that the most successful parodies start from a deep understanding of their subject. If you're going to deconstruct something, you have to know how all the pieces work; otherwise it's not a deconstruction, it's just a mess. In the case of "My Immortal," for instance, we know it's a trollfic, so why do you think the author made the decisions they made? Why do you think they were so successful that the fic became so widely known? How can you emulate their thought process to portray Ebony as faithfully as possible to the real thing while still poking fun at it?
^ Those are rhetorical questions for you and other people to think about; please do not reply with essays on the subject. I will not read them.
TL;DR: Have fun, but do no harm and don't lose your head.

Thank you for your opnion on this. I guess I was a little overworried about the game and hadn't read the enterants' fics of origin too closely. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

When the current RP subthread starts to get crunched at the the side of the screen, restart with a reply to the original post instead of starting a whole new thread. For example, in the 2017 Halloween RP, we reset with replies to this post like four times.
Actually, you might want to continue the RP on the Roleplay Board if it's still going strong at that point, so we can still read the rest of the main Board. {= )

Just provide a link to her fic right here, and I'll add you to the RP. She must already exist, and not be a godplayer. Otherwise, feel free to use Legendary, Original Series, one you've missioned, or any other Sues.

I read this fic a long time ago, don't want to re-read it until I get my Permission so I can spork this thing into the pit.
But oh boy, it's some Stu stuff. Roleplaying as such a jerk will be an interesting experience.
I tend to make all my characters at least somewhat likable. Or give them a Jafar effect and have them be so evil it's fun.
Use the same language (yes, Suvian SPaG) and personality as the original Stu. The whole idea is evil-vs.-evil anyway, so make him ridiculously evil! It’s basically a badfic games RP.
I fully expect that by the end, this roleplay will look like a barcode for all the censoring it must bear.
There should be lots of silly censoring. Preferably with [BEEP]s or [profanity]s. And since Ebony swears every three sentences, there'll be a lot of censorship for me too.
Also I'm going to have to [censored for decency] as well as describe [censored for decency] in excruciating detail while I [redacted] and [censored] and [withdrawn], not to mention all the [why] and the things I'll have to do with a [no], [PLEASE NO], [WHY WOULD YOU EVER SAY SUCH A THING], a pineapple and a yo-yo.
