With Warriors, the very first book is "Warriors #1: Into the Wild". It should have a bright orange tabby on the front and a forest as the background.

PONIES ARE THE BOMB. -loverage-

Son Gohan (Junior, I guess, or would it be Son Gohan II since Grandpa Gohan died before he was born?) was my very first anime crush. And my longest. Neji from Naruto comes in a close second for length of time.

Thrall absolutely needs to come back, because Garrosh fails at diplomacy - although his reaction to the events in the Horde questline for the Stonetalon Mountains made me happy.

Lord of the Rings fills me with warm, fuzzy feelings. Especially Haldir, Glorfindel, Erestor, and the El Twins. They need more love.

I haven't read Luminsoity/Radiance...or seen it...or done any other verb that matches the medium it is presented in.

I've read the Trickster duet so many times I need to buy new books for it - the old ones are beginning to fall apart. I read three-fourths of the Immortals quartet, but someone lost/loaned out/threw away the fourth book, and then I donated the other three, so it's been a while. I read Magic Steps (or whatever), I think that's related. Main female protagonist was named something like Sandra??

I read "The Tell-Tale Heart" in second grade at Halloween. I have been mindlessly hooked ever since - "The Masque of the Red Death" is my absolute favorite. And the inner romantic in me died reading your comment about Romeo and Juliet - but the rest of me agrees and is cackling maniacally. Macbeth is wonderful (aside from the titular character failing to have a spine around his wife...) and The Merchant of Venice might make you cry, if you sympathize with Shylock.

Another newbie here, although I've known about the PPC for...more than a year, at least. Two years? Two and a half? I have no idea. All I know is that seeing Cupcakes get the sporking it so richly deserved provoked me to a fit of PPC-joining nerdrage. I have a maternal spot for rough and tumble characters.

Anyway, I have a lot of fandoms, but I think I'm the most educated about the Warriors series by Erin Hunter; My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic by...ehm...Hasbro; Dragon Ball Z (just Z - I haven't watched the original yet, and GT sickens me); Naruto (just the original, I haven't caught up with Shippuden yet); World of Warcraft (shameless WoW nerd); Lord of the Rings; and (please do not hit/bomb/spit on/kick/set me on fire) Twilight.

I'm decently versed in the Tamora Pierce universe as a whole (particularly the Trickster duet and the Beak Cooper trilogy) and the general works of Edgar Allen Poe. I also know my way quite well around Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and The Merchant of Venice - by Shakespeare, of course.

Too Long? Didn't Read?: I am a massive Warriors/Tamora Pierce/Edgar Allen Poe/Shakespeare/DBZ/Naruto/Lord of the Rings/World of Warcraft/Twilight (DON'T KILL ME PLEASE) nerd. And I haven't found anything to spork yet - although I have a few ideas...

Welcome newbie, you are one of many. Since you've been lurking for a while I guess I don't have to grill you about reading the Constitution and the Original Series, as I assume that you already have.

I'm happy to see that you have a variety of fandoms, many of which have a large support group in the PPC. Don't worry about Twilight, I've read the series too, just to see what the fuss was about. I wasn't exactly enthralled but everyone has their own tastes.

Yay WoW!

Well, the majority (five) of my characters are Horde - three blood elves, one troll, and one tauren - and four are Alliance (one human, one night elf, one draenei, and one worgen). If you're asking which side I sympathize more with...more of the Horde have my love. I like the underdogs, and everyone except maybe the orcs and the goblins (depending on how you look at things) qualify as underdogs.

Plus, the Horde as blood elves. So pretty...

No matter what they represent, I almost always side with the humans. Since they're almost always the middle-of-the-road, jack-of-all-trades race, I pick them for versatility.

I have to admit I know far more about StarCraft than Warcraft. There's something about the spacey-wacey setting that I like more than Azeroth.

No. No no no, Kitty. You haven't seen giant introduction posts until you've seen mine. 1413 words and counting. Now that was a massive teal deer of a post, considering I've posted complete oneshots shorter than it. (One, and by a grand total of 12 words, but still.)

Anyway! Warriors. My little sister's into that, but I haven't bothered to stare at it until I can tell where to start. Ponies? Ponies are awesome. DBZ, heard of, heard of memes, never watched. Naruto, haven't quite gotten into that yet. WoW, I'm on Starter Edition and am an Alliance Dwarf Hunternoob except the trolls and tauren are pretty cool but I have Opinions and they're all "THRALL COME BACK". LORD OF THE RINGS YESSSSSSSSSSS. As for Twilight, well... like what you like, and what do you think of Luminosity/Radiance by Alicorn?

I have all of the Immortals quartet. I swear. Glod only knows where Wild Magic is, but I bought all of 'em. And I've read the Circle books (first two quartets anyhow and the Empress book). Never managed to finish reading the Alanna books or PotS. I know only Poe things which are firmly engrained in the public consciousness (Nevermore!). I found Romeo and Juliet annoying as hell when I did it for high school just because they were a pair of idiots, but the story itself was fun. 'Fraid I haven't read any other Shakespeare-y stuff... wait no, his sonnets, they're on Wikipedia.

This isn't even killing them via humiliation, just offing them. Spectacularly and meaningfully and with more than a few noble sacrifices, but they're all going to dieeeeee. It's fun to do, though, figuring out who would die when and where and how and why, though I haven't quite figured out what's going to kill them all yet. Stuff. Details. At least one bad guy's going to have mind-control powers for the inevitable taking of running gags and breaking people's hearts with them.

Wellllll, it depends how you define true love because for all that it's retroactive continuity I'm still following the no-relationships-above-friends-for-the-biomechanicals thing while pushing it as hard as I can and throwing the word love around like nobody's business, but... yes. Very much yes. Macku (a Matoran, littler and weaker but no less freaking AWESOME) throws herself in front of an attack that would have killed her not-boyfriend Hewkii (a Toa, awesome with awesomer powers). Jaller takes another hit for his best friend Takanuva that kills him again, this time for good and with no dramatic death speeches, but it also would have hit Jaller's formerly-canonical-girlfriend (see the retcon) Hahli so hehehe it's a twofer.

Also I took the running gag of Toa Lewa getting mind-controlled and having to be beaten up by Toa Onua to get his mind back, twisted it, and killed them both. Lewa beats up Onua badly enough that Onua's dying by the time Lewa finally gets sense smacked into him, and when not even Onua's Mask of Strength can keep him up any longer Lewa wallops baddies to protect Onua's body until he's overwhelmed too. And for some very odd reason I'm thinking this whole thing happens at the base of and in the shade of the only tree in a field, what the heck is my imagination on.

Hehehe. My first crush period was on a mostly-robot. Bionicle character, name of Kopaka, taciturn but badass. I was. Ten. I think.

Garrosh is an impulsive, bloodthirsty idiot, and that's just what I think of him from that thing you get to watch at the end of the troll starting area.

El twins! Glorfindel! Haldir! ERESTOR! Have you read "Don't Panic"? It's on ff.net, it's on the PPC wiki's Legendary Goodfic list.

It's got a very, very, very different Bella. Here's a link. Things go off on a wild tangent pretty quickly, but everything else starts out the same and while I don't like Twilight itself for reasons of I think Edward is a creep and Bella is a spineless -bleep- I think I'd love to be a Meyerpire the way Alicorn's put it.

Sandry. She's one of the main four in the Circle group, along with Briar, Daja, and Tris. Tris's a nickname and I cannot for the life of me remember her full... Trisana, that's what Google told me.

My inner romantic is overwhelmed by my inner "DUDE NO YOU TWO ARE STUPID". I might have to go check out Macbeth... and A Midsummer Night's Dream, someone recommended that to me as much funner than R&J.

And Sylvanas didn't used to be so...so..."Forsaken for the Win!" She used to be more worried about getting revenge on Arthas and validating the existence of the Forsaken (or at least herself...) - now she's intent on creating more Forsaken by means of the Valkyr and winning battles the dirty way by means of the Plague WHICH BY THE WAY SHE SHOULD NOT STILL BE PRODUCING.

She's...evil. Like, actually evil now. And mouthy in a way that makes me want to smack her...while she's mouthing off at GARROSH. I miss emo Sylvanas.

Yesh. I was in a choir show for my high school last year, and for our Christmas show we sang a medley of Nutcracker songs. For "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies," we made the seven guys in our choir dress up in brightly-colored tutus and do twirls through the aisles in the audience. They...were more into it than they probably should have been. Especially the guy who went out and bought a bright pink-and-silver tutu that allegedly cost twenty dollars.

Well, the transition wasn't lazy - there's a leader short story for her on Blizzard's website that explains it as sort of a descent-into-madness type of thing - but I can't help but wonder if SHE'S an end boss of Mists of Pandaria, too. I already know Garrosh is lined up as THE end boss...

I don't WANT her to be an end boss - I love the Banshee Queen (almost obsessively, though not quite lustfully...) - but even some of the Forsaken are beginning to wonder what's happened to her. There's an undead at Plaguewood Tower who'll even say, "I used to admire her, but something's changed within her. She's not herself anymore." I fear for the Dark Lady.

I've got a DVD of Macbeth with Sir Patrick Stewart in the title role making its way to me -- I blew some overtime money over at Amazon. Do you have an opinion on staging Shakespeare in other time periods than the late 1500s-early 1600s?

Staging Shakespeare in a time period other than what was originally intended...

If it's done as a parody, then it's bloody hilarious. Otherwise, either do it well, or don't waste your time. I saw a post-apocalyptic of Oedipus: Tyrant once, and it had great music, great potential, but AWFUL actors and actresses. The best actor was actually the guy who played Oedipus, and he made the character...prissy. Like twenty-first century prissy.

So, go for it, as long as you can do it well. :D

Also, we won't kill/be violent at/dislike you for liking Twilight. We respect the right of everyone to enjoy whatever fandoms they like, regardless of our own opinions on them. (Besides, everyone needs a few guilty pleasures. :P )

I do approve of your love of Lord of the Rings, though; that's my oldest fandom and probably my most beloved. :P

Twilight is DEFINITELY a guilty pleasure - especially now that I've begun to realize how flawed it is as a whole! -laughs-

Lord of the Rings makes me simultaneously happy and depressed - I want to liiiiiive there...
