Hi guys, I'm new here and popped in your IRC. Seems like a nice place so I'm happy making a thread saying here I am please pay attention to me ;).
What I'm a fan of are most urban fantasy novels (Dresden Files, Hollows series etc), Pokemon, Harry Potter, Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. There are others but those are the main ones. Not in any particular order either.
As for fanfiction I prefer ones that are in a setting I like obviously, I also have a weird fascination with the more... unique fics out there, some of the fetishes those people are just hilarious. The ones that just make me think "What the hell am I reading?" are good entertainment too. There's also a part of me that sees fics being taken off FF.net as a challenge for me to hunt them down and read them.
I have dabbled in writing fanfiction, there's always been that block of being afraid to publish something I've put so much work into because maybe I'm the only person who doesn't think it's absolute garbage but eh I'm sure I'll get over that :).
