I've seen a lot of bad (as in OOC, mpreg, bad slash, etc.) fanart/fancomics/etc. Is there any PPC group that handles that?
Because then we'd have to spork 75% of DeviantART.
... is MSTing the map from Eragon (a href="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/TangledWebs/EragonMapMSTSmall.png">yes, really). I think that style would be an interesting way to go about a fanart-kill - tiny agents pasted in all over the picture, with snide comments and some form of kill at the bottom.

One of the many, MANY reasons I loathe those books is exactly that sort of thing- the author seems to have just thrown in stuff that looks cool without thinking about it at all. I know that some of those rivers bothered me even when I first read it (and I was, what, 12?).
Re: fanart stuff: there are certainly some fancomics and the like that are bad enough to warrant a PPCing, like "How I Became Yours," and I'd love to see those get sporked. My suggestion style-wise would be a mix of formats- text narration mixed in with pictures like hS described for when specific visual aspects need to be brought up, sorta like how a normal mission quotes lines from the fic.
I think that the Codex Alera map is mostly accurate--I know that I checked locations against it several times while reading, and I think it does work. Only thing is, it kept calling Isanaholt Bernardholt--I kinda wish they would change it after the first book. But that's a minor nitpick.

It's basically the definitive case of how to stick a bunch of cool stuff in will-nilly and have it work. (Any geographic anomalies could probably be explained by something to do with Great Furies, anyway.)

That's the funniest picture i've seen in quite a while. I hope to see more from whoever the author of this is.
Huinesoron said in his first post, the one where he borked the HTML, that it was his creation.
Maybe I should get a check for dyslexia, a check for stupidity or both. I mean no offence to the dyslexics of the board.
Maybe I just wanted to get to the link as soon as possible because it was shiny.
July has already covered some of what I was going to say. Let's move on to the logistics of fanart and the PPC.
There was talk, at some point, about a bad fancomic department/mission. The problem was in figuring out how to do a mission in a non-text-heavy medium. Do you make your own comic based on theirs? Do you write it as a normal mission and put the comic panels in your story? Fanart would be even more difficult, due to lack of any story arc in most pictures. I don't know how many pictures I've seen that just said "This was commissioned" or "This was just something I had floating around in my head." You can't really call something OOC or bad slash without context.
