A) You, yourself, are still a newbie. Ergo, I don't think you're qualified to tell another newbie how to make a lasting impression. Seeing as you have to, y'know, have lasted for that.
B) While you have made an impression (whether or not it's lasting has yet to be seen), I'd like to point out that, from what I can gather, it's not exactly positive. I'm not sure anyone would actually want to take advice on how to make an impression from someone who has mostly manged to annoy people.
C) As ThatOne has said, hazing the newbies, especially in that particular way? Not cool.
On a tangentially related note what is this obsession the new people we've been getting seem to have with the LBs? They're bad, yeah, but mostly they're only truly terrible if you have a reasonably deep understanding/love for the fandoms they're in. Otherwise, they're not much worse than any other badfic. If people really want to torture themselves, they should go find something like Fan Fiction Fridays from Topless Robot, or some other MSTlike. That way you get humor interspersed with bad.

That you are in no place to talk about making a "lasting impression on this site", being a newbie yourself, and one who's made quite a few large errors in a very short period of time.
As you already noted below, this was a cruel and mean thing to do. Just because you know them already gave you no reason to say it as you did.

I've read... one of those. I'd like to think that lasting impressions on this site come from contributions to the community, rather than self-flagellation with Legendary Badfic.

Hazing the newbies is a cruel thing. At least warn them what they're getting into first. Then let them decide if they want their brain to melt.
