Still, I couldn't find the mass grave. But maybe it's better that way.
Nice places, those are not, young PPCer.

Announcing the release of Fallen Feathers: Nita, a story wherein:
-There are many complaints about an agent's department
-A character mopes for long periods of time
-A mass grave is visited
-The dead spirits of tortured agents are encountered
-A canon tale is thoroughly ripped off
-There is singing
-The French language is abused
-Overpowered magic is encountered
-The hunt for the Key To Time is resumed
-Fond memories of murder are had
-And a character is induced to take toxic mind-altering drugs
In case you can't tell, I'm going for lighthearted comedy with this one.

First off, I liked this piece.
Nita is really having a hard time adjusting to life outside the DIO, which is to be expected. I really feel for her. Everything and everyone she knew is gone, and Upstairs didn't even have the decency to wipe her memory. Can't blame her for seeking out some solitude.
The Spirit of the PPC sure does like the titles, huh?
I liked the treatment of the doors in the hallway. It is so rarely mentioned anymore that the halls and doors like to mess with people. There is a lot of fun to be had with that, and it is good to see.
It occurs to me that the Spirit of Imagination, in this piece, is somewhat lacking in imagination. She does the same thing over and over again? That spirit needs to get out more (taken care of in the end, of course).
Nita is very genre savvy. It is good to see someone thinking about these things before setting off on a quest. I enjoyed her explanation of how such a quest would go, and the reactions of the Spirit when confronted with it.
Loved the inclusion of the third spirit. I approve.
Overall, well done. It had a serious tone, but there were enough moments of humor to lighten it up.

... it's technically a mass memorial...

Anyways, I am thinking about using the Message to start an AUish thing featuring my namesake agent.
The catch is this: give the message to my trio, and they wouldn't give too much weight to it as they already know that they9re fictiona, and they're also fine with it as they are currently living an overworked but otherwise happy life.
But what would happen if Nikki and Corolla died before Sergio got the message?
Hint: things started to go wrong in his home fic, and that fic was never the object of a PPC mission... and Sergio's mind isn't in a state capable of realizing that crossinbg his own timeline could be catastrophical.
