Hello there, everyone. I'm a newcomer to this board. I'm not really sure what to say other than "Hi!' and "I sometimes speak in Fangirl Japanese, please don't maim and/or smite me! D:" I guess I'll just slowly introduce myself through talking to you all. I find that's the best approach. :D
(P.S: If I slip up on grammar/spelling, do let me know. I don't run forum posts through a spellchecker, and Firefox's built in one is rubbish.) I look forward to talking to you all soon! :)

I don't really write fanfiction for anything, but the works I enjoy are numerous. I like a lot of Anime/Manga, and most works by Square Enix end up in my games collection (which is numerous). I am also a big fan of the webcomic Homestuck, but there's a lot of other stuff besides that. Like Fire Emblem, and Hitchhiker'(?)s Guide To The Galaxy, And, And, And, Andandandand...

Because I'm terrible at coming up with gifts, I instead dispense advice: If you haven't already, you should check out our wiki. Especially the guides and FAQs. They'll give you a pretty good idea what we're about. Better than TvTropes, at least, which seems to be where most of the new people are coming from. Also, mocking is (in my case, at least) good-natured, and directly proportional to the amount of Otakuese used in my presence.
Now that that's out of the way, what're some of your fandoms? (And, if you're comfortable with answering it, what're your preferred pronouns?)

Okay. Question: What does the "K" rating on the claimed/unclaimed badfic lists on the wiki mean? I'm English, so I don't know much about American ratings. I'm assuming it means something like "Kiddie".
Essentially. It means "appropriate for all ages."
K+, should you run into it, is roughly 12-14 or older, T is 16ish or older, and M is Mature Readers Only.
They are, in order, roughly analogous to the BBFC's "U", "12A"/"12", "15", and "18".
@Data: Thanks for the welcome! I've already been 'round the wiki! But thanks for trying to give some advice! As for the gifts problem, why not try giving out bumper stickers?
Moving on to gender and fandoms: I'm a he. I didn't realize that I hadn't actually referred to myself as such! Fandom-Wise, I don't actually write any fanfiction, and the list of stuff I like is huge, but Homestuck and a lot of Square-Enix stuff is high on the list, so I guess you couod say those :P!
(P.S: I had actually found out about the ratings just before you posted, but thanks anyway :D)
