Um, hi. I'm really not sure what to say here. I'm a girl from Indonesia, and I've been reading the PPC for a few months now, but I just worked up the courage to post on the forum today. The PPC seems... interesting. Just as crazy as my friends. Oh, and I love snakes, if the name didn't give it away.

The Circle is one of the most notorious badfic locales. by

Also known as Quotev or the Circle of Lemmings, the whole place is infested with Mary Sues, external links to pictures of clothing within the text of the fic, brightly colored Comic Sans, and other such atrocities.
If you're looking for a really bad Mary Sue in almost any fandom, chances are you'll find it on Quotev, once you pass by the bad quizzes and One Direction real-person fanfiction.
It's a terrifying place, in summary. -

The weather here? Horrible. It's supposed to be the hot season. Well, it is hot in Bali, and I'm not sure about places like Medan, but it's been raining like crazy in Jakarta. We just had a flood in my neighbourhood. Not even a quarter as bad as January, but still.

Er, technically it's a technique. It's when you draw on a cloth with hot wax, then dip it in dye. Don't try doing it yourself-you need special equipment and a teacher. But batik is also a noun-we tend to call the dyed cloth batik. So batik is a verb-noun thingy. If that exists.

It is! It's a real pain to make, though. When I was in fifth grade, my class went to a museum to make batik. After about fifteen burns and a boy spilling wax all over his cloth, my teachers declared that they would never do it again.

Selamat datang, perajurit baru!
Saya menghadiahkan sebungkus buras, makanan kebiasaan orang Bugis. Tapi saya sudah habis memakan ayam lengkuas, maka terpaksalah anda buat sendiri.
Man, I'm too formal up there! Anyways, welcome to PPC, from a Malaysian. Let's put our petty squabbles aside, and enjoy the show. Oh, and wewill ask about your fandoms. So tell us, what are your fandoms?
I'm guessing Monty Phyton. -

Welcome, new recruit! You are very lucky for entering a group of warriors against Sues, the corruptor of storylines, destroyer of fiction worlds, and harasser of canon characters. Please give attention to the PPC Constitution, PPC wiki, and please, do chat at the provided PPC chat area.
The customs of PPC requires that we offer you a gift. I offer you a pack of buras, the usual meal of the Bugis. But I have eaten the galangal chicken, so you have to make your own. -

Yeah, the two languages are really close. We're sister countries... neighbour countries... whatever you want to call it. It's a bit hard for an Indonesian to understand Malay and vice versa sometimes, though, since the spelling and pronunciation can be very different at times.

Er, Monty Python? Never heard of that. I mean snakes as in snakes as pet snakes... namely ball pythons. Love them! No, my fandoms are Les Miserables (Brick and musical), Disney and Warriors. I like Rick Riordan's works and Harry Potter as well, but I prefer... less crowded fandoms.
Yes, let's put our petty squabbles aside! The squabbles of our countries have no place in the PPC. -

A belated welcome - I wait until the newbies have established what kind of person they are before replying. Also because I like to know what fandoms.
I just saw the movie version of Les Mis, and I liked it a lot. Also, by Disney you mean Disney Animated Canon, right? It's been a recent obsession of mine - which is your favorite movie? Mine are Beauty of the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Mulan. I like Rick Riordan and Harry Potter too, but I agree - I tend not to participate in the online fandom as much, because they scare me. My username includes Hermione precisely because it's a personal thing for me, as she's someone I admire.
Newbie gift…newbie gift…I'll get back to you on that. -

Around the 70's if I'm not mistaken. The original cast are very old or are ex-alive now, so to speak. The living members decide that due to rampant piracy of their show, they'd rather show it for free on the Internet.
