I think that few troll fics actually manage to be funny. But they do make for good sporkings.

In which Anneli, Cindy, and Xanthus have a grand old time with a rather obvious Dragon Age trollfic with more than a couple surreal quirks:

Seriously, this one was pretty bad, and a very obvious troll.
This mission spawned a lot of minis like the last time. So all these guys are up for adoption unless otherwise stated:
mini-darkspawn:
dargon age
Grey Army Guy
Commander Jonsona
Allstar
Morlowgan
Commaner Jonson
Morrowgain
Earl
Redcliff
ammander Jonson
Comander Jonson
Commander Josnon
mini-xenomorphs:
Preadtor
Stna
mini-aragog:
Harry Pottar
As well, we have the character Stan the Predator recruited from this fic. He will be going to the Department of Finance, and will be Free to Use for all.
As always, feedback is appreciated.
The way you handled the actions of the grill had me laughing several times while reading, and I never thought I'd consider the Buster Sword from FFVII to be relatively reasonably sized!
I also thought the Department of Finance was an inspired choice for Stan to go to. I have thought about having one of my agents (if/when I actually get around to requesting permission) having a bit of a feud with Finance over his expenses or something. The idea of an agent storming up there, ready to kick some ass over 'those damn forms' and then seeing a Predator sat behind the desk... yeah, I've got to do something with that.
There was just one bit where the wording seemed kind of clunky; 'Somehow, the sentient grill was not deterred by the fact that its blade had suddenly grown to a length of approximately three miles and three quarters of another one while also getting much thicker so that the blade did not instantly snap from its own length .' - I think it would read smoother if the length was described as 'approximately three and three quarter miles'. The rest of it read well, but I just sort of stumbled over that one sentence.
Having said that, I thought the mission was brilliant, and while I haven't read any of the other missions featuring Xanatus, Anneli and Cinderlla, I will certainly be doing so in the near future. And only partly out of morbid curiosity over what they could possibly have done to get assigned 3 trollfics in a row.
Yeah, this mission was a crazy one. I got to do some crazy things with this one.
LOL yeah, that was inspired by a random IRC chat that I had while I was conceiving this sporking, so... Yeah. But now that you mention it, that would be hilarious.
Ah. Thank you. I'll keep an eye out for that kind of thing. Thank you for pointing that out!
Thanks! Be sure to check out Florestan and Eusabius' RC too, as I also write that. And beware when you get to the mission before they get assigned three trollfics in a row: aside from being a more serious mission in tone, that mission also doubles as what I'm fairly certain is the longest PPC mission ever written.
I didn't read it to the end. It was just... kind of a drag, sorry.
The thing with the grill was funny, but then it went on with "Stan needs to do something, Xanthus reassures him, the fic goes on." There wasn't really anything interesting. The occasional funny misinterpretation of words was there, but all in all, that wasn't enough for me to keep reading.

I really liked how you managed to capture the insanity of the entire thing with things like the animated barbeque grill, golems smoking joints and the four-mile sword (a pity it didn't persist after the troll's passing, it would have made one heck of a trophy).
If there is one thing that I think didn't mesh really well with your story is the fact that Anneli managed to check her iPhone in Ferelden. I know one can handwave it way with a "it's a trollfic, don't ask", but it feels more like a Deus ex machina than anything else in my opinion. Other than that, you did a fantastic job on this.
May the Powers That Be protect your agents' sanity for your next Floater mission.
Yeah, this fic just had too many great opportunities to create some wonderfully surreal imagery. I think the only other time I had such great imagery to work with was in my failed collab with someone else that hasn't gone anywhere.
When she does check her iPhone in a fantasy continuum, it won't work nearly as well as it did here. This was more a one-off thing, but I'll avoid using that in the future.
Oh, may their sanity be protected indeed...
