The filters here are weird. I'll take a look when I get home.

What's the PPC's opinion on Glee? I've been following the fanfiction on "The Pit" for a while, and aside from quite a bit of M-Preg, I haven't seen anything that majorly bad there.
Glee used to be a good show, but now it just sucks. The outright worship of some characters (i.e. Rachel and Kurt) and the outright ignoring of others (i.e. Tina and Artie) drove me away, as did Glee's refusal to have any songs on it that aren't either mainstream pop, mainstream rock, mainstream hip hop or classical theatre.
Well, like I said, I'm not trying to start any fights here- was just curious as to how the PPC viewed the show.
I used to enjoy it, but don't any longer. I don't appreciate girls/guys falling in and out of love with just about everything that moves and breathes half a dozen times in two years.
Sorry.
The singing's still fabulous, though, I imagine.
There isn't really any mass shared mind on most fandoms in general in the PPC, so opinions vary.
I personally can't stand Glee, because it's very much a race to the bottom in terms of 'let's make all of these characters as generally unappealingly manipulative and amoral as possible and heap as many cringe inducing moments in as possible between musical numbers'.
Well, to each his/her own, I say. I tend to like the characters, but I'n not gonna start a fight here.
And I was just told. Thanks for sharing your two cents here!
No idea. You see, the PPC is a construct that is made up of people. These people have varying thoughts on topics. It is not often that everyone in the PPC agrees that a particular canon is either good or bad. Cases have even been made for Twilight being decent, on occasion.
As for Glee, I don't mind it, myself. The stories are decent, and the songs, though over-processed, can also be enjoyable.
If it is one of the canons you enjoy, then be glad that the fanfic is decent. I wish more continua could be like that.

Don't scare me like that! I saw someone asking about Glee, and a response titled "The PPC opinion," and had a brief Blue Screen of Death moment. The day our community has a unified opinion on anything is the day Hell freezes over, cats marry dogs, and Death trades Binky in for a nice chestnut mare.
I won't bother pointing out that the Ninth Circle of Hell is a glacier ;)
And if there was, I retroactively disagree with it, so there.
hS, petulant and just as scared as VM by the headers :P
Wait! I've got it! Since I am of course an elf, I appreciate Tolkien in a completely different way to everyone else. Except BiD, Kaitlyn and Luthien, who were are totally elves too.
hS, definitely making sense
Totally does.
I would curse you in Quenya if I could remember enough of it! Give me a second...
Nai Valaraukar... um... elye... er... utulielyenna! Nai Valaraukar utulielyenna. I think the grammar's right there. Not entirely sure what tense 'utulie' is in, but so what? It gets the point across. If you speak Quenya. Which no-one does - including me.

Stupid of me, right?
hS, properly pedantic now

It is simply Minecraft information since I was wondering if you would be interested in joining in. Dann runs a server. (Which I doubt you can/are allowed to run at work.)
... oooooooooooooh.
:P
hS, fascinated now
I didn't mean to alarm anyone.
However, your reaction to it goes to prove my point. So...mission accomplished?

Oh, that's understandable- Wait. Did you just say people made cases for good Twilight fanfic? You must be kidding me.
Oh, that's good to hear- there may be a craplot of slash, but I generally find it enjoyable. And also, it has some pretty good sci-fi/fantasy stories.
You misunderstand. I never said anything about Twilight fanfic. I said people have made a case for Twilight being decent. The background characters and the world they inhabit are actually fairly interesting. The biggest problems, for me, are the choice of the main characters and the over all message that those characters convey.
As far as Twilight fanfic goes, it can be better than the original. Or so I've been told.

Oh, THAT I can get- as a person who's (Just about) managed to sit through the books, I will admit that most of the side characters (And some of the mains, like Jasper) and their origins can be interesting. Mostly, I stay off though- too much Edward/Bella- no AU can save it.
My point is, some Twilight fanfic can be good- it's just like the Pit- overshadowed by millions of badfic.
