I am myself in airspace sector - currently doing a training course to become a final assembly worker in AgustaWestland. And for doing that they require you know well how aircrafts and especially helicopters work. (To the point that with enough hard work you can rise from "assembly line" to "manager", since you already know nearly all about helicopter industry)

Wiz and Boomstick got the F-22 figure wrong - it gets "only" to Mach 2.25. Yet again, being America's new supremacy toy, the real speed could also be higher.

Dont feel bad about getting the numbers wrong - in an old story of mine I said that an F-14 was capable of doing Japan-France at Mach 2.8 continously. Not only the Tomcat gets only to 2.34, but it has also less than one third of that range. And not at maximum speed.

Such a travel would be possible only to an SR-71, with at least one air refueling.
