Hey there!
I'm Mr. Eldritch- I found my way here from I can't remember where over a year ago, made a few posts, and promptly disappeared. Ninety percent of you probably don't remember me, and the remaining ten percent are likely mistaken and only think they do.
I've since found my way back, and am once again hoping to become a bit more active in the community, maybe even write something. (This is particularly helped by a few encouraging messages I recieved in the IRC.)
My fandoms are Babylon 5, The Circle of Magic/The Circle Opens, Discworld, Homestuck, Portal, and a healthy host of others, although I know none of them obsessively and haven't quite read all of any of them(Well, except Homestuck.)I'm also currently playing my way through Myst, Riven, and Exile, and I'm working my way through the first Full Metal Alchemist anime (dubbed.)
Re-Hello to you all!
I do indeed remember you (since you have a nifty name), and thus I also happily offer you a re-welcome (or, probably a welcome in my case since I've been incredibly lax on the welcoming-of-new-people front over the last few years).
Thus, in honour of your return, have a platter of chocolate-covered profiteroles, a hogshead of Bleeprum and a pet mongoose (available in a colour of your choice) from the PPC Mongoose Shelter in RC 2816. Name it what you will, and remember it will eat basically anything (including Sues).
Elcalion, re-welcoming
...you left out the 10% (maybe) that haven't been here long enough to have known you yet. So, since I'm one of them, instead of a "re-hello", I proffer to you a "hello!"
I'd give you a seasonal-theme gift, but it would appear that Santa's evil twin confiscated them, so instead, have a Trader staff just like Daja's! Previously used, but in good condition!
(And if any Traders want to know where you got it, tell them you got it from me, who got it from a Winding Circle Sue...or just neuralize them. Up to you.)
Hi, I'm one of the ten percent. You wrote the Eldritch Theory of Suvians, and I don't think I'm mistaken about that. It's a good read. {= )
~Neshomeh
Yeah, that was me. You know, I'd honestly forgotten about that.
Hi, have some fudge!
Heyo! Here, have a conical hat and a cookie!
The hat is made of tin foil and duct tape, so it's indestructible and keeps the conspiracy theorists out!
The cookie is just a chocolate-chip cookie.
I can always use more chocolate and hats.
Incidentally, fun fact: Bored students at MIT have discovered that tinfoil hats actually act as parabolic reflectors that actually concentrate RF on one's brain.
Welcome back, I guess. Have some chocolate, won't you?
It's great for killing, and it's SHINY.
Also, yay for Portal and Circle of Magic!
...Wait wait wait. You can post images to this board!? How do you do that?
I just copied and pasted the image url, the one that ends in ".jpg".
If this board doesn't do it on its own by posting an image link, there's always dat HTML.
<img src = "the link">
Another B5 fan? Great! Welcome back! Have some Bleepka!
Re-welcome to the board, dear sir!
Hello! So, you're a bit oblong? How'd that happen?
Also, have you read the original FMA manga?
WEll, "Eldritch" was my favorite obscure word at the time (thanks in equal measures to Pratchett and Lovecraft), but "Mr. Eldritch" was already taken and I was so desperate for a new email address (My old one, made in sixth grade, was "wiiequalscoolsome@yahoo.com ... yuk.)that I just stuck a y on the end.
I'm afraid not. I know that Brotherhood's a lot closer to the manga, but I also hear it's not as good.
FMA is essentially my first foray into "the animes."
