What's the fun of watching someone kill people just for the fun of watching someone kill people?
I don't get it.

In which Florestan and Eusabius save a bunch of rainbow-colored ponies from Jigsaw's death traps and a word cyclone.

Seriously, you know your fic is bad when every single paragraph in your story has at least one run-on sentence. (It's actually a lot more accurate to say that most of the paragraphs ARE run-on sentences.)
Anyway, we have a mini from this mission, so here we are:
MLP Continuum:
cellestia
Please note that this mission has spoilers for the Saw franchise. (Trust me, after a certain point in the franchise avoiding spoilers gets kind of impossible.)
Good job with Pinkie Pie's dialogue at the end (I don't actually watch Friendship is Magic, but I've seen enough bits to know you got that spot on). I also like that you preceded a mission in the Saw continuum with a character making choices in a video game.
I could have done with fewer chunks of the badfic, though. I know you needed to show the terrible punctuation, and why the word cyclone was formed, but that's established fine with the first few paragraphs quoted. After that, it just gets obnoxious having to read those huge paragraphs of text throughout the mission.
That was actually... something that was so subconscious I didn't even realize there was something that could work about that. The whole choices thing, I mean.
Honestly, in terms of the badfic excerpting this mission gave me a bit of a hard time, because it /really/ made it hard for me to gauge how much I needed to cut. I ended up going with all those things of text, not because I needed to establish the run-on paragraphs, but because I felt it would be really awkward if I produced a fanfic excerpt that was a line long that had absolutely nothing in the way of punctuation.
Nice, I can't say I am a fan of either fandom, but I do know a lot about both. Know is different from like. Totally. >.>
Saw crossovers, man, that stuff be wack. Especially MLP. Good job on this though. Silly crossovers are fun. Well, the lack of punctuation was annoying. Word Cyclones. Awesome stuff.
Good work! What a truly bad fic, both the idea and the execution (pun intended). I had to shake my head at how the author used almost no punctuation, but then spilled a bunch on three ellipses.
Also, please let us know what Florestan decides to do in Dragon Age. The quest was the first really difficult decision I had to make the first time I played the game and I was just as uncertain as him. ^^
A crossover between My Little Pony... and Saw.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS PERSON?!?
Most any crossover CAN be good. Like, it is possible for even the most ludicrous thing to be good.
But it takes respect and care for BOTH canons to make it happen. Also good writing and consideration for all of the loose ends in the crossover.
This one just didn't have any of those things.
So what would be wrong with the person? Primarily being lazy, I guess.
...Sorry, my brain fused for a moment there.
I don't really //get// the Saw franchise, it's just a psychopath killing people in overly elaborate ways... though maybe that's my disdain for horror movies talking.
And why bring My Little Pony in?! The two have NOTHING IN COMMON!
*SIGH* I'll never understand the so-called "logic" of badfic writers...
What's the fun of watching someone kill people just for the fun of watching someone kill people?
I don't get it.
I actually rather like the Saw franchise, but the plot of the whole thing gets rather ludicrous after Saw III, I have to admit. The first two managed to keep it manageable, but after III it just got ridiculous. Still, it was nothing if not entertaining for metaphor, so...
And yeah, that makes no sense.
Thanks for the feedback? What did you think of the mission?
Saw. And MLP. Saw and MLP. Saw. And. MLP.
WHO THE F/K THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?
God, this fic was horrible. Good job sporking it, it's a good solid mission.
*shudders and pats HerrWozzeck on the back*
The older fanbase of MLP:FiM has this thing where they like to cross it over with EVERYTHING... especially things that it wouldn't normally be crossed over with.
Surprisingly, some of these unlikely stories are quite good. I have seen good crossovers with Alan Wake, with Fallout, and even with God of War (Go figure.)
But then... you get stories like... this one. :\
... but a friend of mine has been putting out a few pieces lately involving the ponies and Deathwing from WoW. (!)
Have a look: http://ghostwalker2061.deviantart.com/gallery/31997698
I read a very good crossover with MLP:FiM and Portal 2. It's amazing how care and attention can make things work that otherwise have nothing to do with each other.
I've seen a good MLP crossover with Dead Space, of all things. It should be bad, but it's actually really good, and really interesting.
My brain demands to see this one :P
If you remember the link, could I trouble you to point me at this strange crossover?
^Why do I keep forgetting to sign in? I'm not *that* blonde, surely?
Are you honestly surprised at that by this point? In all seriousness, though, this is one of the dumber ideas I've ever seen in fanfiction. So... yeah.
Thanks for the feedback! =D
You're right, I probably shouldn't be surprised. But it is a ridiculous idea.
You're welcome. :)
