I've seen an MST of this one and recognised it at once - Elrond is so incredibly creepy and I kind of want to use the descripton of the Sue as an example of implausible beauty.

In fact, treating the fall from her horse as if it were life-or-death might put this in Jackson and Feleben's jurisdiction as their first Sue, if no-one else kills it first (and given how quickly I write, the next ice age might have come and gone before I get to it).

What's funny is that as I was reading the bits about the falling off a horse (which by the way doesn't generally hurt all that much), my little sister started singing "Oh my oh my that's quite a sight" and she had no clue what I was reading... I'm cracking up...
