If it's drugged up enough, it may even let the kids ride on it. Glod knows I wanted to ride on a bear when I was younger.
Then again, my first bee sting was from petting the bee, so maybe not.

They have a veterinary ward, right? And Medical has to be ready for anything, since so much weird stuff happens in fics. I bet they have something that can remove those drugs.
Though really, I have no idea what a bear with withdrawal symptoms would be like. Could be trouble.

A zoo may have more experience dealing with bears that have been treated badly. For instance, in Eastern Europe dancing bears were a circus attraction. Bears were abused to get them to dance.
In zoo that has such bears may also know how to deal with a drugged up Kodiak bear. Perhaps they can keep it separate from other bears while it goes cold turkey.
