Come on, it was obviously a joke. Girl Genius is way more reliable than most web comics out there.

The current storyline went on hold because colorist Cheyenne Wright was busy attending the birth of his daughter.
Congratulation threads are running on the girlgenius_lab LJ community and the Yahoo group.
And the congratulation page that went up instead of the normal 1-5 update is an open invitation to GG shippers -- I have no idea if this is going to give the PPC work or not.
I love it. Particularly Zeetha. (Zeethiggs FTW. Who's with me?)
And *squee* Gilgatha!
Although I was completely unaware anyone made Girl Genius fanfics, much less ones with Sues. *is now slightly worried*
If you're on LiveJournal, the fanconstructs community (<a href="http://community.livejournal.com/fanconstructs/">http://community.livejournal.com/fan_constructs/) is specifically for GG fanfic. There's a Yahoo group as well, but I don't recall the name offhand.
I haven't seen a lot of Sues, but I haven't been actively hunting.
I think that it's sweet. Little, whatever-her-name-is, looks to be extremely cute. I always prefer the Tenchi Solution though. . .
I've always thought of Gil/Agatha as a canonical ship, and the community honestly doesn't seem likely to house a lot of badficcers. I don't think it'll do anything unusual-- they do those pages from time to time-- Santa Klaus, for example. People generally run with it.
I read. I'm a little miffed because there was a rather important fight going on. Stupid baby interrupting the storyline...
Stupid baby! Always coming around and delaying my webcomics! 8D
In all seriousness, It makes me warm and fuzzy to see that filler art there. Why?
Girl Genius had a colorist who didn't miss an update. Even when there was a heart attack involved, if I have my sources right.
So missing it for a baby?
Kudos. Many of them.
What's one missed day?
They're celebrating their friend and colleague's new baby. That sort of thing doesn't happen every day on an individual basis.
I think it's very sweet of them to actually go and make such an announcement and celebration on his behalf where thousands and thousands of people can see.
Come on, it was obviously a joke. Girl Genius is way more reliable than most web comics out there.
