And that these things, the dark stuff, it isn't okay, or necessary, or merely a part of life, or a lesser evil. It's wrong, and it's everything that we all are fighting against, and good triumphs in the end, and the repentant are welcomed home. And the end of the world is, in fact, a welcome home.
And cynicism, and the acceptance of nastiness, and concepts like inevitable sin and necessary evil, and black versus gray, and lust and greed and foulness - they do not belong in Narnia.
I'm sorry, I realize I'm getting a little bit over-passionate about this, but to me Narnia represents both my childhood and my faith, and those are two areas I do not want cynicism.
