I was a bit bored, so I hunted down some badfic for you all to enjoy. You may need some sort of painkiller for the massive headaches they may give you.
There are three:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5070092/1/CastleonaCrandomCloud
Two OCs in the beginning, it seems that more show up throughout the story, Magic!Sues, 37 chapters, first person story, eventually Fullmetal Alchemist centered (although not canon related) and I have no idea what a Crandom Cloud is.
Summary: "Me and my crazy friend live in castles, we like to party and make up our own words. Only these parties are different, Anime, Book, and Movie characters like to come. Lots of FMA. Warning: Randomness and OCs"
Rated: T
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6401625/1/stoneofbloodanddreams
Two OCs, 3 chapters, Fullmetal Alchemist centered, lots of spelling errors, massive abuse of the English language, time skips, supposed to follow canon (but obviously doesn’t) and a mini or two.
Summary: "what if ed and al met a hot-headed girl and her soulles sister on their journey and let them tag along with them? better than sounds. my two twin ocs. i suck at summs and 1st story."
Rated: T
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6400754/1/thenewstartofagoodend
Fullmetal Alchemist fanfiction, one shot, abuse of tense and of the English language, several minis, first person switches characters mid chapter.
Summary: “roy and riza first relatioship after the promised day *spoliers if you haven't ended the seris yet* this is my first one... ever and some things may sound crapy but i can't write words well and i used spell check”
Rated: T
Have fun :)
My post seems to have caused an argument. I am really sorry, please don't fight with each other.
This is absolutely not your fault. You couldn't possibly have foreseen this. Please, don't blame yourself.
I know that it isn't my fault, I just hate it when people fight, it makes me sad. I am glad that the issue seems to have been resolved.
Here, have some random silliness.
Transformer Owl
I'll see your three badfics, aaaaand raise you three more. Read 'em and weep, girly.
an uchiha's proposal
Naruto fanfic. Sasuke proposes to Naruto, Naruto says no, Sasuke convinces Naruto to say yes by spiriting him away and ****ing him. The actual sex is not shown (thank God for that), but that does not make this thing any less creepy. Also, downright freakish levels of misogyny. To me, that really clinches it.
Summary: "Sasuke must find a wife as ordered by the Fifth. However, his first attempt was refused bluntly so more unorthodox ways must be used.
The Real Truth
Sailor Moon fanfic. Serena goes psycho, starts butchering her friends and family, uses her (dead) mother and brother as party decorations, 'scuse me, 'decreations', kills herself, reincarnates, murders her new dad and kills herself again. As a six-year-old. What a big, wide, wonderful world we live in!
Summary: "Serena has kept a secret from the Sailor Scouts and even Tuxedo Mask (a.k.a. Darien). She finally tells them. Will her secret do more than just scare the girls and what will happen to Darien? AN- This is rated PG-13 for a good reason! Complete"
Summer Time!
Gatekeepers fanfic. Beach races! Ice cream! Swimsuit contests! Nothing else! It ends! The readers rejoice!
Summary: "The gate keepers party have their vacation on the beach. Then new characters added. Please Read and Review."
Just so you know, my knowledge of the canon worlds these stories mutilate are based on is practically zero. Sometimes, however, badfic transcends such petty limitations. Sure does now.
Enjoy :)
By the way, you're the Boarder who has recently surfaced again, aren't you? I failed to greet you that time, so now, here's a Magic!Mystery!Box! It contains something very special, that may or may not be alive. Open it up and find out!
Those sound awful. I can't even bring myself to click on the links. I try to avoid fics like the first, reading them makes me crazy. It is just digusting. The second. I have nothing to say to that. I don't know the canon for the third, but it sounds bad too.
And yes, I am.
Thank you for your welcoming gift :)
Who A) died in a car accident B) was a lemon writer of no small proportion. Ugh. People should be writing tributes to... to... to... like, with Thalia Weavers and people like that, how could a person spend all that time writing something so ... not good... for a writer that wrote stuff that was ... not good...
I just want to tell you I'm sorry. I was way out of line, and I had no right to say the things I did. You must have felt pretty bad already with the first two replies to your post, and I went and made it worse. I've made this mistake once before, and I vowed never to let it happen again. So, again, I'm truly sorry for hurting you.
The point is taken. *puts away helmet, shield, etc*
I know you've already been told this, but I don't care, I have to get this off my chest.
DeterminedToFly wrote this fic in honor of a friend who died. And whatever the perceived quality of the work, this fact automatically makes it beautiful.
And no-one, not you, not me, not anyone, has the right to mock either DeterminedToFly or (especially) Daddy's Little Cannibal. It hurts to lose people you love, girl. Hurts like hell.
There.
But feel free to continue, if you wish. I've got a fireproof helmet and a bunch of padding and a shield and a lurker button, if any of the above are necessary.
Two other people already told her, you do not need to jump on the bandwagon. Again.
You have an extremely bad habit of being a tagalong.
That, believe me, was not my intention. I've already lost a lot of people, so I can relate to the girl who wrote the tribute fic. I would not have said anything otherwise.
Trying to turn that sort of thing against another person, after others have pointed out the crassness of what was said, is only emotional manipulation and trying to make others feel bad.
Saying that you have had people close to you die is supposed to make us feel sorry make us feel sorry and excuse your first post here. Saying it in conjunction to that post is intended to make Aeidhryn feel terrible for her post.
Again, I reiterate, she doesn't need it, others have already told her, you don't need to butt in, especially with what is a maudlin excuse.
If I had to guess, I'd say nearly everyone here has had someone close to them die, and trying to use the fact that you have, as you did, is disrespectful to the dead.
I'm not going to start an argument or anything here. I am not trying to make anyone feel sorry for me, and I am not trying to make anyone feel terrible. However, I will not stand for anyone saying that I am disrespectful towards the dead. That idea makes me sick, as does the assumption that I go in for emotional manipulation.
All this being said, I think it'd be best if I left the Board. I just don't seem to fit in here. I'll finish the RP I started and be done with it. And no, I am not trying to manipulate you into saying sorry.
SttQ, I don't think anyone wants you to leave over a disagreement with one person. It is your decision, but I would hate to think a single incident ruined your whole experience here.
July, I've noticed recently that you've been getting on people's nerves a fair bit. I'm not suggesting that you change your personality or anything, but would it kill you to choose your words with more care? We could stand a lot less in-fighting with you in the middle of it.
All in all, I don't think there was anything wrong with SttQ adding her two cents here. I often wish people who shared opinions would speak up more so that others could know the opinion is shared by many and not just a few. Rehashing the same points over again DOES get tiresome, but still, there's nothing wrong with making your voice heard.
Finally, when it comes to real people, this old adage is the best: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Read "respectful" or "constructive" for nice if you will, but please bear it in mind just the same.
~Neshomeh
Well I certainly appreciate SttQ's grace in apologizing when she didn't have to.
I mean, why people reacted badly to your post in the first place. Like I said to July, phraseology can be a big issue in text. And, again, my inbox is always open if you want to talk in detail.
~Neshomeh
I'd really miss the Board. It's just that I seem to be the cause of way too many disruptions. That business with Raffitz' second permission request, the RP, and now this. I do not want to mess up this community.
Besides, if I said I intended to leave, and then didn't, wouldn't I be giving the impression of being one of those types who put up a drama queen act on a forum, make everyone feel sorry, then say they were "just kidding"? That, plus the thing about me being "emotionally manipulative", might get people's minds set in the wrong direction.
Oh, and I already sent an apology to Aeidhryn, which was accepted, much to my relief.
Anyhow, thanks for the shield, Neshomeh. I really appreciate it, and I'll keep your adage in mind.
It's not like you'd be changing your mind on an unknown whim. It's all out in the open, and it's clear at least to me that you weren't intending to cause a stir. If you want some time just to let this blow over, though, there is always the nice middle ground of lurkerdom. Whatever works.
Either way, you're welcome.
~Neshomeh, a fan of middle grounds everywhere.
I'll just continue my regular posting, and put this whole unpleasant episode behind me, where it belongs.
By the way, if there's anything you'd like me to link you to (horror, comedy, romance, zen stuff...), let me know, okay?
-About what I'm trying to say before I post it to try and eliminate anything that is particularly egregious.
However, that doesn't remove your responsibility to take into account how people will react to the words you post. If you don't want people to get upset, you have to stop saying upsetting things, like accusing SttQ of being emotionally manipulative and not having respect for the dead--right after she mentioned having lost several people in her life, no less. If you weren't intending for her to be insulted, why say things like that?
On a related matter, do you see how what you said here about asking other before you post comes off as not taking responsibility for your posts? It's a matter of phraseology, which is really important in this medium. If you don't see it, please e-mail me so we can talk without dragging out this thread anymore. I'd like to try to explain it.
~Neshomeh
Your question was "would it kill you to choose your words with more care?", my reply was that.
It was not intended to be anything more or anything less, just a statement.
Unless you'd rather I go first. That's fine; but the reason I'm asking is this:
11. If you have a problem with a fellow PPC Boarder, please try to work it out in private emails. —The Board Constitution
~Neshomeh
This group... exists to promote goodfic and mock badfic and have cool, pointless, informative, fun discussions, about serious and silly things alike.
This group is NOT here to mock people. We really should not have to keep saying this.
And, quite frankly, what you just said goes beyond mocking into outright heartless.... something. Mocking the dead is beyond cruel. She died in a car accident, and you decide to criticise a memorial of her because she wrote lemons? That's messed up, Aeidhryn. Whatever you may have thought of Daddy's Little Cannibal, she was a human being, and deserves respect-- as would Thalia Weaver, as would you, or any life here. Writing abilities have absolutely no weight in our value as human beings, and quite frankly, the fact that you're claiming people should write tributes to someone -you- admire at the expense of their own friends is simply wrong.
Please review the Constitution. We're here to have fun and laugh at bad fanfic. We are not here to bully and attack real people.
But if it's unconstitutional, and someone knows how to erase it, go ahead.
In the meantime... *runs for fireproof helmet*
Please rethink what you wrote.
That story says in the very beginning it was written for their friend, who died. And you're saying that it shouldn't be done? That the deceased does not deserve that because they wrote lemons? Really? Just because a story someone wrote isn't good doesn't mean it shouldn't've been written in the first place, especially if it was in memory of someone.
Would you be saying that about someone who you knew in real life, or if you knew the deceased yourself?
Besides, from what I can tell, they have grasped the true meaning behind writing. "If you don't like it tell me and I'll most likely ignore you because I'm writing this for me not you!" Just because it's not the best doesn't make it no less true.
Additionally, I have to wonder how Thalia Weaver in superior as a random human being as compared to their friend, who was not just a random human being.
I was not saying Thalia Weaver was a superior random person to honor, but that her writing was better. I was wondering why a person would be highly honored for what I consider to be rather run-of-the-mill lemons. I'm not saying that the writer couldn't do it if she thought that her friend was worth honoring, I was bewailing the fact that certain types of writing with inferior quality get celebrated while others go unrecognized by people in general.
Of course, you can say that *we* recognize Thalia Weaver's writing. That's right. But that's not relevant to the point, because the PPC is definitely different from the general FF.net community.
That's my opinion and it would be very comforting if you put away the virtual knives now.
The point is the reason.
A dead friend is higher on the scale of priorities to write a story for than better writer by several magnitudes.
Simple as that. Thinking otherwise is insensitive.
And these aren't knives. These are bludgeons.
