To introduce myself, I am one of the friends DL_Blanca has mentioned (though not an MSTer myself), and along with her, I have become aquainted with the phenomenon of PPC through TOS.
Over the years, I have crossed many fandoms and read many fics, both good and bad. And being a bit of a nitpicker by nature (especially on the technical side of things), it has occurred to me, that this board might be a fun hangout:o)
My desire to write PPC stories has not yet crystalised into anything specific, but with your blessing, I'd like to become at least a part-time boarder:o)

Anyways, you'll soon notice that a good deal of important stuff, once dealt with, will dissolve into a lot of nattering on. Which just happens to be what I'm doing.

Honestly? It was the first non-human item to spring to my mind.
'Insane' is such a nice, clean, understandable, funny, and leave-it-alone type of excuse for any quirk, oddity, or weird behavior. That's why I (and possibly other PPC writers) like to use it so often.
For example:
*Watch as the insane Boarders veer off on a tangent that has nothing to do with either turtles or newbies...*
Especially those long up and downy scales. Eek.

Anyway, just get yourself acquainted around here, so we may get to know you better, and who knows? If your interest in writing PPC missions has fully bloomed until then, then you may or may not need to spend more time here before it's time for permission!

...but remember: point laser AWAY from civilian/partner's eyes and TOWARDS MarySue/Character Replacement eyes and you'll do just fine.
