If I decided to commit some Pokemon-Sue murder? I've been doing an RP lately with a decent character, went on ff.net, innocently clicked a link and shortly after nearly spit out my coffee in a "you have GOT to be kidding" reaction.
*takes deep breath*
Anybody out there got comments, suggestions, advice? It won't be my current character, Agent Cassie, though I may have her "reassigned" temporarily as a solo deal. -

This one is the Vaporeon-with-Hydro-Cannon girl. (That just REALLY irks me since it's not hard to look up the move and see that it's limited to the Water starters. It also goes against -all- competitive battling logic but that's not the point...) It's currently undergoing a rewrite, but I looked at the scene and that bit hasn't changed. Not to mention she managed to get Flint's Infernape's moveset wrong, and has -no- concept of how an Elite Four member would battle.

This is the cold-but-beautiful one, and she's gotten a few things wrong. 1) Byron is not OOTP; 2) Crasher Wake should NOT be in school with Volkner and Candice at the same time; 3) Roark is NOT a coward; 4) Mysterious "Iris" pulling out a sword for NO BLOODY REASON; 5) It's just like every other Pokemon high school story; 6) She uses EMOTES in her SENTENCES. *Facepalm* -

Did you read the links that were given to you when you arrived? Specifically the one regarding getting Permission? You have to have been around the Board for at least a month, and that's just one qualification. Two weeks ain't gonna cut it.
It's not a bad thing that you're so eager to get started, but we do have certain procedures we ask people to follow. -

Sorry. I did read them, but it must have either escaped my notice or my brain decided to fuzz it out in light of all the "stuff" that's going on at present.

If you mean that you want comments, suggestions and/or advice on how to deal with this specific Sue, it would be helpful if you provided a link to the fic.

It would be a good idea if you post a link to that fanfic, so that people may help you with that bad OC, and maybe show us what the OC is like so that you may get more to agree with you about killing it.

You can always save the fic and put it on the Claimed Badfic list until you have Permission (if you have it already and my memory is just being fail-y, ignore that comment). But I don't think there'd be a problem with a Pokemon Sue being tackled, any more than any other Sue. Besides, fics that provoke spit-takes are generally quite PPC-able.
(On another note altogether, what's your Agent Cassie like? Because I have one running around the DMS, so it could get a wee bit confusing... XD ) -

It was reasonable up till the point when I read about the girl being 15 and a "retired" Champion, as well as having a Vaporeon which knew Hydro Cannon (a move limited to Water type starters) and an Eevee which could beat an Elite Four's Rapidash with Dig and Shadow Ball (the rest of the team was Espeon, Beautifly, Gardevoir and Ninetales-- two Psychics, a Bug, Water, Fire and Normal doth NOT a balanced team make). That induced the spit take. That was one, and the other one which I noted was from a different fic and the traditional "cold and mysterious beauty" sort.
My Agent Cassie is Chinese, somewhat pyromaniacal and a little sadistic, has a fondness for most animals (except bees and Pug dogs), knows way too much about biology and the British legal system, collects panpipes and random shiny objects, registered Lust Objects so far Aragorn and Hitsugaya Toushirou... and has a mild fear of large crowds. -
