Hi there~
I've been following Laburnum's LiveJournal (and her PPC missions) for ... yikes, years now. Earlier today I was bored, over-tired, and impulsive - and Laburnum posted a new PPC mission. So I gave into temptation, wandered over to the PPC site and boards, read some rules and stories, and signed up.
I'll be going by Grackle here, I think. In the Redwall community, I usually go by Snowspine (Laburnum stole-with-permission/rescued a couple characters of mine from a story I wrote ages ago, Vengeance Quest). I'm Makhsihed on LiveJournal.
It's been ages since I wrote or read fanfiction, but I rather miss it, and have gotten into a few new fandoms since I last read fanfic. Fandoms primarily include Doctor Who/Torchwood (that's the biggest one for me right now), Redwall, Song of Ice and Fire, and the Kushiel novels. I'm a more casual fan of quite a few other areas (Valdemar, Narnia, Tortall, FarScape, Whedonverse...).
I'm pretty busy with work (I deal with unstable teenage girls who are in residential treatment), so I don't know *quite* how much time I'll have to participate. But I figure writing about eradicating stupidity is stress-relieving and cathartic, so it can't hurt.
Anything else? Is that about what's expected for an introduction? Questions, complaints? -

So, which other PPC stuff have you read? The Original Series is a must-see, of course, and my other personal favourites are Architeuthis' Intelligence Reports, hS's stuff (especially the "legolas by laura" sporking), Trojie and Pads' stuff, and the Department of Technical Errors. -

I heart Farscape so much. Haven't watched it in way too long though. Roommates collect TV shows, though, so it's on our household server... I should rewatch it sometime. My favorite character is Chiana.

I love the whole cast, really, but (if you couldn't guess) my favorite is Pilot. The first episode I saw was the one with the body-switching in season two, and the part where he describes the multi-tasking he does with Moya's systems hooked me.
Scorpius comes a close second--best villain/anti-hero ever--followed by D'Argo. ^_^
I live in fear of finding Farscape badfic, but fortunately, the fandom has proved itself too small and too smart for it so far.
~Neshomeh, who will kill it dead with a vengeance if she ever does find any. -

Very nice fandoms, do you happen to like classic Who as well?

I haven't gotten to classic Who yet. Two episodes to go on new Who, then I have the rest of season 2 and all of season 3 of Torchwood, and *then* I will be working my way through classic Who.
My own sonic screwdriver! Yay! Does it transfer into PPC-space when/if I eventually get Permission? Because that would be a useful tool indeed. -

I shall name her... Miw! Because I am unoriginal and stuff. (It is Middle Egyptian for "cat".)
Well, I only recently (in the past several months - I guess that means for some definitions of "recently") started watching Doctor Who. My roommates are obsessed and own every Doctor Who episode available ever. (Even reconstructed-from-single-slides versions of One.) I started with new!Who, and all I have left are the last two episodes of new!season 5. Then I will probably finish watching Torchwood (am only on the second season of that), and then go back and start watching old!Who.
Eccleston is my first Doctor, and still my favorite so far. Donna is my favorite Companion as of yet, though I am fond of Amy Pond. Did not like Rose; she annoys me. x_o -

Hey, Miw is a cool name. =D
Ah, I see. I would recommend old!Who as soon as you can get hold of some - most older episodes are great!
My favourite new Doctor is Matt Smith - fave companion's Martha. Rose gets on my nerves too. -

I do adore Matt Smith. Tennant grew on me eventually, but it took a full season; I liked Matt Smith within the first couple episodes.
Martha kind of bored me, sad to say.
Oh, I can get ahold of old!Who anytime - my roommates are obsessed with Doctor Who and have every episode ever available on the household server. I just need to finish new!Who and maybe the rest of Torchwood first. Is plan. *nodnod* -
