So, I was reading the article on quarantined continuums on the wiki, and saw that Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series was under quarantine (horrible series, IMHO, but whatever floats your boat), and was wondering: Do badfics in the tv'verse of the book series count as being in violation of the quarantine? Or is Legend of the Seeker so different from the book series that it's not the same thing? (I know that in the opening credits of each episode, it says "Based on the Sword of Truth series", but...)
I was wondering because I found a coupla badfics, and wanted to know.
(some of the badfics underneath)
-http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5693133/1/TheWarrior; Author's summary: Formerly known as "Warrior Rose". Rated T, just in case. AU Story. After the defeat of Darken Rahl, Richard, Kahlan, and Zedd reunite with someone who they thought was lost forever. But, this reunion also brings with it new challenges. Please R and R!
Basically, the author is ramming a prophecy, a "long-lost sibling", and a Mary-Sue down the reader's throat. It also has (IMO) stilted writing, badly written prose, and a horrible/non-existent plot. At least the spelling and grammar are up to par.

Author's Summary: Rowan Ahexil is a rare woman indeed, for she holds a power like no other. She holds the power to revive souls from the underworld, without the requirement of a body. That plus she IS Darken Rahl's oldest and most trusted companion. DROC
My comments: I hope you have a strong stomach. There are bad!fics, and then there are these. I can stomach bad!fic, but not (badly written) schmaltzy romances with Mary-Sues, eye-gouging spelling/grammar errors, and more descriptions of the author's pet character than the setting. Normally I wouldn't say this, but... Hades, do I feel sorry for Darken Rahl.
