Fred and Huck » by Samus reviews
Sequel to Double Double Toil and Trouble. Frodo finds himself in another, very strange, world, with a little boy who looks just like him.

Ah Huckleberry Finn and Lord of the Rings crossover? People come up with stuff, unbelievable...
I mean, where are any connections? And from what I have read, it's not that properly done... A case for Improbable Crossovers? -
How could Frodo and Huck look "just like" each other? by

Frodo is a well-fed Hobbit. Huckleberry Finn is supposed to be skinny and malnourished.

there's a movie version of "Huckleberry Finn" where the main character is played by Elijah Wood. That's probably it.

It's possible for people to look like each other even though they're built completely differently. I've never read Huckleberry Finn, though, so I have no idea how Huck's described.
That doesn't stop the premise from being patently ridiculous. Stupid bamfics. -

Also my first thought after that was. Nightcrawler bamfs him to Earth?! -
Isn't M-E supposed to be Earth's distant past anyway? (nm) by

It is, but there's still a language and culture barrier. by

That said, a fic like this can be done well, but if Frodo's suddenly speaking Modern American English or chows down on McDonalds, the chances for that plumment.

Wait, seriously? Did they actually do that?

...the same thing was done here. I haven't read the fanfic, though, as I'm not familiar with X-Men and I've only read the unabridged version of Huckleberry Finn once.
