Let's see. Animorphs, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Buffyverse, Star Wars, Star Trek, House, D&D (including novels and role-play), various dystopian novels (ex., The Giver trilogy, Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Uglies trilogy and sequels), The Dresden Files, Ender's Game, musicals (especially Les Miserables and Cats), and many individual books that I'm probably forgetting, mostly fantasy and sci-fi with a few "classics" mixed in.
I don't do romance. It's boring. Other than that, I'm pretty much an obsessive reader. I'm actually more likely to have read novelizations than seen the TV shows even when something is primarily on TV (Buffy and Star Trek, for example), which is partly because I don't own a TV set. I was an LotR fan before they thought of the movies; I got hooked in 1998 with The Hobbit.
...why, do they make you pick just one continuum? :P
If I had to decide, I've only ever written fan fiction for Animorphs and LotR, and LotR and Narnia are the ones I know best (though I can quote D&D rules and show tunes with the best of 'em).
