…here in Wisconsin.
*sets to work on a snow!Amateria, in case of PPC snowball fight*
Right now I am sitting in my nice warm house with the fire going. Outside the weather is giving us an average of -20 C. Fuuunnnn...
Leto - whom is building Snow!Hogwarts, compleat with Snow!Ghosts.
... it's alternately stinking hot and blue skies, or overcast and muggy. Yay, summer.
Suddenly this plan of not coming home till June is looking less and less attractive. It's bloody freezing here at the moment :(
Why, where are you now?
I'm in Philadelphia these days. And yes, it was snowing the other day :P (On the bright side, at least it's the end of term in a few days' time).
A fellow East Coaster? That's awesome!
Yep - only been here a few months, though, so I can't pass for a native yet :D
It's nearly the end of term for us too ... not that that actually means I'll leave the building ...
...and yeah, I know that feeling. One of the (small) benefits of returning to course-work and getting actual holidays :D
And I feel guilty if I go home ...
HOWEVER they forcibly kick us all out on the 18th of December and I'm spending most of January doing an exciting tour of university basements looking for fossils, so y'know, I probably won't die in there :P
Sorry, I thought you meant that the undergrad term was about to finish up, and I was thinking 'surely exams were over a long time ago?'. Yay for holidays, anyway (enforced or otherwise).
Fossils sound like fun. Hope you don't have to spend too much of the summer buried in dark basements, though :)
Don't worry, I'll only be spending three weeks in university basements :)
...we're expected to get 10-14 inches here over the next day or so.
*starts stockpiling snowballs*
It's supposed to snow here today. *imagines snowboarding wistfully*
Fun weather here - freezing fog overnight leaves tons of hoarfrost behind. We had snow, but it's mostly burned off by now.
probably won't stick, though, except for the rain.
It's a few inches deep.
And, as my cat has discovered, also cold and wet.
I was there (in Uppsala, near Stockholm, more precisely) for a job interview, and I was told it was supposed to be covered in snow at this time of the year. I saw the first snow on December 1st. Yay global warming.
BTW, what's Amateria?
Agents tend to base snow forts off canon locations.
No snow in Hull either, though the rain was threatening to turn to sleet last night.
But at least we don't have as much rain as some parts of the country.
Oh, Glod, don't talk to me about rain.
Still, there's one thing to be said for global warming: I don't get trench foot every winter like I used to ten years ago. Just occasionally drown in the summer instead.
