I'm in Philadelphia these days. And yes, it was snowing the other day :P (On the bright side, at least it's the end of term in a few days' time).

HOWEVER they forcibly kick us all out on the 18th of December and I'm spending most of January doing an exciting tour of university basements looking for fossils, so y'know, I probably won't die in there :P -

Sorry, I thought you meant that the undergrad term was about to finish up, and I was thinking 'surely exams were over a long time ago?'. Yay for holidays, anyway (enforced or otherwise).
Fossils sound like fun. Hope you don't have to spend too much of the summer buried in dark basements, though :) -
they are always fun :) by

Don't worry, I'll only be spending three weeks in university basements :)

Fun weather here - freezing fog overnight leaves tons of hoarfrost behind. We had snow, but it's mostly burned off by now.

I was there (in Uppsala, near Stockholm, more precisely) for a job interview, and I was told it was supposed to be covered in snow at this time of the year. I saw the first snow on December 1st. Yay global warming.

Oh, Glod, don't talk to me about rain.
Still, there's one thing to be said for global warming: I don't get trench foot every winter like I used to ten years ago. Just occasionally drown in the summer instead. -
