Got goodfic requests, add them to the list for all (who browse TvTropes) to find! And you can find other recommendations there as well if you're searching.
So, if I could be permitted to give us a break from the unfolding wank over in that other thread, I was wondering what some of The Board's favorite goodfic are. Anyone want to share?
Me, I showed you one of them a while back, and I'm also particularly fond of this guy's stuff: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/574797/Cyber_Commander. He writes next-generation Yugioh fics with a very nice feel to them.

The Doctor is completely IC for once, the story has that NuWho feel despite taking place in Firefly, there are some nice Continuity Nods, and the Firefly canons and locations fit according to PPCers who watch the show.

This Warcraft fic, about a Forsaken traveler on a journey throughout Azeroth and Outland, is one of the reasons that I love the fandom.
PS: I wasn't there, since I lost internet acsess for several days. Is it over?
Elves, Hobbits, & Mary-Sues, Oh My Rather liked this one, despite it being a Mary Sue Girl-falls-into-ME Legomance. Also proves even more that, as Trojie and Pads stated, there is no such thing as a bad genre. Bast herself liked the fic, as shown in her reviews and her old FFN account's favorites list. I found it through there, and was not disappointed.
There's a most likely not dead sequel here. Seems the author is determined to prove that almost every single one of the PPC's most kill-worthy offenses can be written well, as this is a HP/LoTR crossover that doesn't have my blood boiling. I'm beginning to wonder if she'll try turning the Prophesied Hero OC or Woeful Angsty Past plot points into something readable next.
If you thought that was good, you might want to check out Mysterious Fate. I hated Legomance OCs before I read this, and now I more or less...have come to respect some of them? I don't know, it was just a really good fic. XD
Specifically, another 'let's write half the charges on the PPC chargelists into a good story' fic. If every author wrote as competently, the PPC would be out of work.
...Which is saying something, since it's not really a fandom of mine. XD

"Everything has a fandom." ...Unfortunately. To justify my opinion, I present most Real People Fic and the Bible category. The latter section of the Pit has had a fic sent to the DoWTF, which says a lot.
And if anyone can find me an excellent, decently long Romance of the Three Kingdoms fic, Dynasty Warriors canon or not, I'll eat Sky Piercer.

I know two of those authors. Tungsten Monk is a former PPCer, which you may know, but Jess Pallas hung out on the same Farscape message board I used to. I second those recommendations!

The first four chapters or so of VQ are reasonably PG, but after that the vermin come in and things drop a tad. Then we get the death scene and that was well-written but still left me going D: for ages.
