Well I'm interested in joining and I would like to know ho the stuff works... I read part of the wiki already, as well as the main site...
I'm interested in working in the following fandoms : Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate Atlantis, Watchmen, RPF about U2, original fiction.
I would be most interested in protecting canon characters from Sues, OOCness and abuse.
BTW, will your Agents be based in a TARDIS or a Response Center?
Well, I don't know yet... What are the advantages of one/the other ?
Looked in the wiki... guess I'll take a TARDIS, I have a team of three and it's easier.
I see you have LJ communities too... what are they for exactly ?
And do you post your PPCs there or on your LJs ? (I have a LJ under the same name)
Some people post to their LJ, some publish the GDoc they wrote the mission in and others use ff.net. You can then plug the mission here and on the LJ comm, if you so wish.
All that matters, however, is the extermination of badfic goodfic.
I think I'll use my InsaneJournal, my LJ is being used for ohter purposes (but I'll still use it to comment on the PPC comms)
Just joined the PPC LJ comms !
There's a few agents active in Star Wars, Star Trek and SG Atlantis, but as far as I know none in Watchmen, House or Numb3rs. From what I've heard, there's a lot of work in those fandoms. We don't chase Sues in original fiction, because technically those aren't Sues.
Cool, I've heard about Watchmen Sues going after Rorschach (why him, I still wonder...) and I already have a team of agents ready to end this.
I forgot to tell... I'm also interested in House MD and Numb3rs fandoms, as well as fantasy books.
Have a large English Angora rabbit plushie.
OMG I have too many things in my room now...
*hands a towel* That sounds like an interesting selection. We don't really take on original fiction, though, unless you mean writing it yourself?
I do write original fiction, mostly fantasy and SF.
I was planning to chase the Sues in original fiction.
But as some pointed out, we protect the plot continuum. Which means that if someone writes an Inheritance fanfic that is actually better than the canon (not too hard, I gather) but in doing so derails the characters (by making Eragon humble or Arya complex, for example), it would still be our duty to spork it. In theory, at any rate. In practice, I doubt any of us works in the Inheritance fandom. (I haven't even read it. My knowledge of it all comes from Anti-Shur'tugal and the hilarious review of the film at the Agony Booth.)
If I were to spork something canon, I would attack this unspeakable abomination (NSFW). Unfortunately I can't even do that.
Welcome to the PPC!
I present you with a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object!
Hope you have fun here!
Ohayoo, though it's probably not a crazy horrid difference, just would mislead anyone who could write in hiragana. But if you really want to throw in the Japanese, try Hajime Mashite when you first meet a person (Ohayoo is after you've had some previous acquaintance).
As you've probably noticed in this thread, Oozaru Angel is my Japanese-sensei. But she taught me that word, so really it's her fault. :P
And sadly, despite being a co-writer of the Official Fanfiction University of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, or OFUTRC (plugplugplug), I wouldn't understand hiragana if it was chopped up and served to me in a bowl with custard. But then again, my job's to be the picky British SPAG nerd. Oozaru handles the Japanese.
You can find OFUTRC on the PPC Wiki, if you're interested. ^_^
lol I use to work in that place... (Ohio I mean)

I already lost my sanity long ago...
And thou shalt say "wow, awesome squiddly beast!" and thou shalt be able to simply turneth the page if thou wishest not to sitteth through half an hour of snogging scenes. And lo and verily I shall stop talking like this, for it doth be most confuzzling.
-Mad Maudlin
Pretty much, yes.
Well, I'll read the book when I find it. Is it out in France ?
Can I have some cheese and a beret? Or will you just taunt me a second time? (It's okay to make fun of me. I'm American.)
And your father smelt of elderberries!
Good thing it changed, then. Well, I think it was long ago, as I never go across a photo proving it.
Yeah, as some have pointed out, we get loads of newbies these days. And that's great.
You'll probably be offered a plover, a gold-plated egg whisk, a sock full of rocks, a panda, a receptacle marked "Warg fodder" to deposit your sanity, some Anti Lustin, a few hugs and loads of other weird stuff. As for me, I gift thee with something more conventional: a coffeemaker.
If this keeps up we'll have a surplus of agents and a lack of Sue.
Welcome, anyways.
I can't speak for the other newbies, but I for one haven't been breeding.
Nor have I. I have been too busy with school *shudders*
Well, looks like my keyboard is having issues...
Wow, there really are a lot of newbies lately... you're the fourth in five days. Here, have a winged kitten! And watch out for giant glass jars. The other three newbies (myself included) were put in one to study our breeding habits.
